Just something Im working on at the moment, (Breyer) Dreamhorse Paint By Numbers 3D, Ive filled in all the groves and added maleparts. It is NOT done.He is suppose to be a pony that is just starting to grey out so while he have a lot of grey hairs all over his body he wont have 'dapples' (or dapplelike at least...I hople) all over...
Each of these "hairs" are done one by one....(phew) and the model is completely painted by hand...one thin layer after the other...think its at least 4 layers of browns on him...even if it dont really show here. Not the best lightning either.
The white socks just have one layer of white and he dont have any eyes yet as you can see.

he didnt do so well at the show so I will redo the greying part some...
Altho I dont 'care' if a horse shows well or not if I like the model...its not for good showresults or wins I get a model, its for me

D'aw, bummer! But I do agree with you - the points don't matter as long as you've had fun and you like the model <3 It's a very good and healthy way of appreciating your work! And do please show the finished product once you've edited his greying!

I'm always in awe of anyone who has the patience to hand paint hairs, he's looking great! You are talented at so many kinds of media

thank you! <3 its not the best (but the best I could do) - but I see each thing as a learning thing...
The tricky part is actually to get the same amount of paint on the brush, that is as thin as the previous. Not easy when its hot and the paint dries quickly (become 'thick' again)
