Took these pics of "Bumbus" before I had an idea on what to paint him as. I just knew he was to be inspired by some kind of Bumblebee (hence the name "Bumbus").
He is a Maggie Bennett pewter micro mini fjordhorse "Viking"
The wings are also sculpted by Maggie, but released to be belonging to one of two jumping american miniature horses. I got the wings in a trade from a very good friend of mine. At first I wasnt sure what to do with them. The wings are - as you can see - in pewter too and putting them on a resin micro (or plastic) would mean it would prob fall over. The other micro mini in pewter I had didnt quite fit. So, Viking stepped up to the challenge. With few drops of superglue and baking soda (for a strong bond) this was the result...
But what bumblebee to paint him as? I put the Q out on the modelhorse discord chat Im on with a few of my own suggestions, just to get help to narrow those down...
