Yeah okay so Storm's my favorite Marvel character.I also like to design new outfits and costumes for her. Since I started out on X-Men while she was wearing the silver outfit, I've often felt a bit odd about her more current getups. Especially with all the black and bare skin showing. Now, while I know the woman can take extrmes of temperature without having a problem about it, but in some cases, too much skin is really too much skin for me.
Besides, I also liked her punk setup with the Mohawk, so I wanted to give her a trench coat, and maybe combine the two older setups into something she could be wearing currently. So I had her hair in a ponytail (which always looks good on her if you ask me) and went back to the metallic silver look.
Done in Photoshop CS2 with Wacom Intuos3 6x8 tablet. Did most of the linework and coloring last night, and about an hour or so of further cleaning up and tweaking today.

i liked the way you pulled this off. one of my pet peeves is the "red-sonja-steel-bikini-syndrome", in which some overly busty heroine goes into battle dressed in practically nothing, and never suffers any major hits, even if someone is shooting at her or using bladed weapons. doesn't make sense.

Thank you. I grew up on her 80s "silver" costume, so I based it off that, but updated it somewhat.
I generally can't stand the "practically nothing" rule of female battle dress either.

I like it more than her regular threads.. thats for dang sure, though I'd worry about her getting them struck by lightning and stuff because they're so long and flowy.

She's usually had a pretty flowy cape through the older incarnations, and some of her more recent ones, so I don't think that's a hazard. Besides, the woman can control which way the lightning goes with a thought. I doubt she has to worry about being struck by it.

There were always comics where she wasn't in her "uniform" so to speak, so every once in a while she would be in a trench coat. The last one I remember had her in a black leather outfit, short hair, and a long trench coat tearing up a bar full of ruffians with an F4-tornado style gale.
