I stopped to see your work .... Not precisely by Darwin but by the mannerist style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo ... It is excellent, I congratulate you.

This picture is so awesome in the most literal form. When I see what I do and what I see you do I just get intimidated and angry. I'm sure you've felt the same when you started.Β

I was an Evolution and Ecology major in college, so it comes as no surprise that Darwin is kind of like an idol of mine. The quote that you use is actually in my email signature as well.

Your art captures such meaning especially in this piece. I love how the animals make up his face and are branched off each other. Your creative use of the animals to fit different spaces are amazing.

Charles Darwin was a Christian at one point and even when he wasn't he still believed in God and concocted his theory with God in mind and never intended it to replaced Him.
If thats not irony I don't know what is

cyralie In reply to Corvus-the-Snark [2015-06-20 01:20:42 +0000 UTC]
It's not irony. God and evolution are not mutually exclusive, and when Darwin was alive, almost everyone was a Christian.
I'm an atheist, but I know Christians who believe in evolution. You'd be a fool to ignore the mountains of evidence evolution has built. It all comes down to how that first cell came to be.

WesGuthrie In reply to cyralie [2017-06-12 23:50:45 +0000 UTC]
Haha, "mountains of evidence".
Thanks for the laugh today.
You evolutionists can't even produce a single transitional species and resort to hoaxes like "Lucy" and the "Nebraska Man".
This is great art, but I hope that Darwin is rotting in Hell for his lies.

Corvus-the-Snark In reply to cyralie [2015-06-20 02:57:36 +0000 UTC]
Fair enough
I am one of those Christians, evolution is truth. What is not true is what is essentially apocryphal evolution, such as humans came from apes and animals can change themselves over time.

cyralie In reply to Corvus-the-Snark [2016-01-27 07:34:49 +0000 UTC]
so what you're saying is that you actually don't believe in evolution and you're one of /those/ christians we all hate.

Corvus-the-Snark In reply to cyralie [2016-01-27 15:12:08 +0000 UTC]

cyralie In reply to Corvus-the-Snark [2016-04-15 08:46:31 +0000 UTC]
When you use religion as an excuse for ignorance, yeah, I hate that.
You don't get to redefine science because it doesn't fit your beliefs. You can believe what you want, but don't say you believe in evolution if you don't actually understand what evolution is. That's like saying you're prochoice and adding all of these conditions on to it. (Ex. Abortion is okay but only if you got raped) It's an all or nothing thing. You believe in evolution, or you believe your holy book is a biology textbook.
I have literally no idea what you think evolution is if you don't believe animals can change over time.
