Description
So, a couple of months ago, I started drawing some Dark Souls characters when I had any free time. Mostly favorites... though drawing every character in-game would be fun, but also quite an undertaking. Going to be submitting them within related groups, with the first being the four Black Phantom NPCs that can invade the player (excluding the DLC's Marvellous Chester) throughout the game in certain areas. These are stylistically influenced by Mike Mignola, specifically his work from the early 1990s, such as Al Williamson collaboration, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser.From L to R:

I think I can safely say that Jeremiah is one of the most repulsive things I've seen in a while. One of the Dark Souls III armor designs also fits that description (the Smough set). Dark Souls sure does know how to get grotesque when it wants to.

Surprised Mignola hasn't been (well attempted to be) offered a gig drawing Dark Souls in that comic series, however the created team I've seen are doing a good job with it on the Titan Comics published series. The Xanthus King has always been so compelling that I wish he had more concrete lore in-game like many others do instead of just speculation (and being a reference to the Old Monk boss in Demons Souls), like his head-wrap being eerily similar to the wall hugging parasite in BlightTown. Still IDW if you've seen this video but it's really in depth and interesting enough about Izalith to be worth a look when you have time: youtu.be/KQlvJmzQQ5g

Maneater Mildred is *just* a woman with a bag on her head. That's it. She runs at warriors with a rusty knife and a wooden plank strapped to her arm. Let that sink in. Crazier than Pam Poovey.

I always loved that invader, because I also regularly use whip/pyro, despite how god awful whips are. Along with the fact that he was a semi-kinda Egyptian with fire magic in the snowy Painted World.

Jeremiah is so damn cool, plus he's a boss in Demon Souls, so it's awesome to see him return in multiple games.
Yeah, he's got such a strange combo of aesthetics going on, but it works so well!

I rather like Paladin Leeroy's gear, with exception of Grant. Problem is the enormous weight for being only medium armor, I think. All in all, though, I rather enjoy this pic

Straight swords mostly for me, but I diverge where I feel it's worth attempting something else. I try to stay faster, but I still love the Zweihander 8D
