Description 8"x5" relief

The day of the dead holiday involves remembering the departed with celebration and offerings. Altars are built in cemeteries with favorite foods and gifts for the ancestors. Marigolds decorate the graves and the eyes of painted skulls; the flowers are believed to attract spirits back to their tombs. These festivities can be traced back thousands of years to Aztec practices, eventually blending with All Soul's Day.

Glad to know I now have an excuse for morbid curiosity- blame the Aztecs!! This is utterly amazing. The teeth are what get me- what a grin! Lots of contrast here- I love it XD ^^ How big is it? Is the skull life size?
