Description Today I was brave and decided to make Red Bean Buns from scratch! I'd wanted to make them for a couple of months but could not find baking powder to save my life at my grocery store. I eventually bought it a month ago and was busy making other things. I eventually remembered I wanted to make these last night and decided today to give it a try! Here they are! They were delicious and a very new experience to me. I also burnt the hell out of my right middle finger while putting them into the steamer. Please Enjoy~

It's a sweet rice ball coverd with red bean paste.
Do you know what it's call?

They have a lot of traditional snacks that I'm not very sure of. I know Daifuku is strawberries in red bean paste and other things. It all depends on researching traditional holiday foods. I'm sure they've got one though.

Oh mochi? Mochi is very very diverse. Many things can be made from mochi.

I use recipes for most of the stuff. I have a noodle dish that I came up with though. I'm going to put it up soon. I usually search google or foodnetwork to get my recipes

XD I never thought about looking up recipes online lol I dunno why. I always stick to cook books and we have no Asian cookbooks that I've ever seen >3<

I do use cookbooks too. I buy them though. I've scoured all my books and then I need to get a new one. There's one on Chinese Cuisine that I want right now.

Our book store closed down so I'm left to thrift stores D: There are tons on Polish and Italian and things like that but very little Asian. I'll look online though >3< it shall be amazing.

Online is your best hope. As soon as I get to the grocery store I actually get to try some more things. I don't just go for asian food, though thats the main thing hehe

XD I love most Asian food, though I have yet to try anything with squid or octapus. A friend of mine loves it and it always talking about it when we talk about food lol

You can also make char siu bao using the same dough recipe or just make plain bao
