I guess it could be taken that way. I think just plain old friendship is a nice way to look at it too, though. Maybe she just needs a kind, gentle friend to confide in who would be able to see past Derpy's comical, wall-eyed self.

Or if people like FlutterDerp shipping, that's fine too.
