Your hike along the creek in the forest is interrupted by a terrifying scream. You look over the water at a huge, old rotting log. Suddenly, a creature leaps up onto the log and glares at you. Covered in white fur, it's unlike anything you've ever seen before. Meet the White Thang.
The White Thang (yes, "Thang") is a cryptid of middle Alabama. Sightings of the White Thang go back to the 1930s in the Birmingham area. Descriptions vary from a lion/dog mix on four legs, to a white sasquatch, to a kangaroo-like animal, but all agree on the white fur and screams (like a woman or baby) that it makes.
For this particular addition to my Cryptid series, I tried my best to portray this lesser known creature so that it could fit all the various descriptions with a form that could either be quadrupedal or bipedal. I gave it a catlike face, but human eyes to make it feel like a mix between a sasquatch and a mountain lion. All in all, I like the way it turned out.
Thanks for looking,
Daniel
