Hey dont worry about the homophobe friend he should understand why you put off telling him that you were a lesbian.......honestly it was really rude of him to call that boy a cocksucker because i know a gay guy who refuses to be a cocksucker......either way im sure he will feel like a total ass whole when you do tell him.....from that all i can say is

I don't think you are a bad person for doing this. I wish the world would be more compassionate when it comes to homosexuals. I'm straight but a lot of my friends are gay, and I think they are so brave for being themselves and not hiding.

you are not a bad person. i'm straight, but am perfectly okay with gays. if one of my friends were to come out as a lesbian, i would be openly supportive. your friend is the bad person here, not you.

One of my friends was homophobic until i finally told her that one of our shared friends was a lesbian and another, gay. She was surprised but eventually she accepted the for who they are. Best of luck to you.

Personally i don't think its really right tricking someone into thinking differently. If he's just being a jerk by making the homosexual comments it won't matter whether you wait and tell him or whether you tell him now to change his mind. However if he is a homophobe through and through, then tricking him like this won't achieve anything except maybe hurting you. I think its right to show him he's wrong about the things he says but i don't agree with the method. You're not a bad person for wanting to broaden his views but the method may not be the best

You're not a bad person, but you have to tell him you don't like how he acts. If you say nothing, he'll think you agree - and so may the people he belittles that you sympathize with. Coming out and being honest is never easy and, unfortunately, it's rarely safe; if you're not ready to and your hand isn't forced, it's your choice for when, but the guy he insults has been forced out from the sound of things. This guy had no choice, had little or no chance to prove he was as normal as anyone else, and he's taking what others are throwing at him. That takes bravery, and I dare say more than waiting for an opportunity does. Be strong and speak your mind, even if you don't come out. The homophobe is not worth befriending for any reason if you believe his behavior is wrong.

A third of my friends are les or gay. I'm fine with that. Just so long as my girlfriend doesn't try to drag some of them into our relationship, I'll be fine. (I'm bi (I think))

i like the "i think" at the end of your comment. i think most people aren't sure about their sexual orientation. "its about the heart, not the anatomy", & i think you can fall in love with anyone who is a good person.

I've only heard those words from two other people aside from myself (and people interested in this club.) I believe that we're all on some level bi, and good people can fall in love. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees that.

I think that there is this... level of unsure... I think it should be called bi-curious. Kind of like leaning on afence with your feet on one side. You're on one certain side of the fence... but you're also leaning towards the other side.
I know I like men. But there are some women that have the capability to turn my head. But I'm not bi-sexual. I'm bi-curious.
But I think that if you are uncertain... tis okay. Its not really a big deal. If you know what you want then go for it! But if you don't... at least you can have fun along the way to figuring it out!!

I think that's an adequate way of putting it. "Bi-curious". It's not too strict in definition, and it's perfectly acceptable. (after all, what is being a teenager without being curious?)
