This is a top notch werewolf sculpt. And yet you call this just practice. Wow. If this is just practice for you and is only just ok by you, I'll be seriously interested in seeing what a great piece by you would look like!! I've seen a lot of sculptures and resin kits, especially in the likes of Amazing Figure Magazine, and you already rank it the top ranks with any of the scupltors there. No joke. Congrats on a tremendous sculpting job here!!!

Thank you very much!! I'm very flattered and I'm glad you dig it! It was practice only because I haven't sculpted to much and know I have a lot to learn. I really love to sculpt but I never get the time to do it anymore. Hopefully one day soon I can get back into it. Thanks again my friend

You are most welcome!! It's always a pleasure to see good sculpture work!! I do understand about time being at a premium. While I do well, I still don't get in as much sculpture, drawing, or model building time in as I would like. Work and family, ya know?

Hey bro i been doing some resin casting lately and i was wondering what material you r using in this werewolf? did u make it in plasteline first or did u create it from casteline ? ive never heard of casteline is this a typing error or is there a product called casteline and where can i get some ? thanks Dan! What casting materials do you use?

Hey man, how you doing? Castilene is a wax based clay and comes in three types of hardness. Soft, medium and hard. I use the hard because you can get great detail with it. I have never tried casting only because I have not learned enough about the process yet. Here's a link where I buy the castilene that also has a lot of good info on the stuff.

Thanks Dan! so nice to know i got some allies out here on the web..my friend and i were drooling over your werewolf the other day..we have this real mediocre clay supply by my house so that link will be fun i mostly use super sculpey for my finishes but love the detail u get from the castilene. Thanks again.. and ..oh.. yeah..fight the POWER! piece out!

this guy would make a very cool mask. have you ever made molds and made latex masks? you could be an awesome mask maker and sell them.
