Description: Garrett Anderson is a half human half pureblooded Bis that was born from a Pureblooded father and human blooded mother. Whilst it was never identified who was his father, it was believed that his father was Keiyo Ven'Hendrixiah, a Thris noble whose family was known for their scientific research into other dimensions' creatures and cloning animal research. It's speculated Keiyo left the home dimension to research some of the animals within various dimensions and in that bred with a lesser female producing a half breed son. Consequently, because of this expedition, Ven'Hendrixiah wouldn't have been present to take part in Project BX-101 but was believed to have returned and be present for the Bioxel-X slaughtering and enslavement of the Thris people. Keiyo Ven'Hendrixiah would be one of the Thris who managed to escape through Xanriel's son's onslaught and it would be believed his family name ended with him too injured to continue.
However, as it goes, this would not be. Likely to avoid the shame breeding with a human brought, Keiyo would leave his son, with the name Garrett, with his mother and it would be in this other dimension. Raised in the forest alone, Garrett would live his whole life away from others and become a Dark Pokemon Type Trainer, being native to the Hoenn Region and spending most of his life both training and wanting to help the creatures he grew up with and around. Life would be relatively simple and make sense for him and whilst his love and passion for dark types would make him wish to open up a safe shelter and adoption place for other types, he would still spend his days alone living with his Pokemon peacefully.
At least until one fateful day, as he would go to visit his old home, he would eventually be attacked by unknown creatures until through his Pokemon and help from an unknown figure, he would finally get a chance to learn about his true bloodline and species.
Background Info
- Infancy - Toddlerhood: Garrett was born as the result of a Pureblooded Thris and a Human Pokemon Trainer falling in love. Originally going to the dimension to test and catalogue the animals there, his father would encounter the Pokemon Trainer who would stop him from testing on the pokemon and seeing he wasn't human would offer to teach him about the creatures within her world in exchange he doesn't abuse them. He would at first disagree but realizing the Pokemon of hers, namely her Absol, could potentially kill him if prompted he agrees and in that time learns of the dimension and inhabitants within. Time would pass and whilst he was initially hostile, the Thris, going by the name Keiyo would soften to the kind and their inhabitants, growing fond of life within the other dimension and particularly for the Trainer, Lillia as she was called, who in turned was charmed and attracted to his unusual nature as well. Their affection for each other would eventually lead to their marriage and in their union, they had their son, naming him Garrett and deciding to live with each other instead. For most of Garrett's infancy and early age, he would live happily with his parents and aunt, living in the forest and being protected by both his father and mother's pokemon, namely her Absol and for a time they were happy. Happy until Keiyo would begin to be secretive and worried, leading for him to leave back to the home dimension out of a sense of dread or need to return.
He would promise to return but Garrett wouldn't see him again and this would be when he'd be raised by both his mother and aunt alone.
- Childhood: Years passed and after his father's disappearance, Garrett would eventually notice his mother at a young age beginning to leave the forest often, going to towns or leaving him to be raised by his aunt as his mother's presence in his life would quickly fade. What Garrett wouldn't understand until he was older was that, as Lillia would go out, it would be because she would develop an illness akin to lung cancer and whilst he felt alone, his mother's absol would be there for him as he'd go about his day and for a time this would be routine. Until one fateful night when his father would return.
At the brink of night, Garrett and his mother would reunite with his father and though their reunion and short time was sweet, Garrett would learn from his father the truth that he wasn't human nor was his father. He would give Garrett a talisman and explain that he had come from a different universe but gave up his life there to stay with his mother raising him and living his life until being forced to return. Stating he can't stay long due to being followed, he forces Garrett to promise to never leave the forest and take care of his mother drilling it into his head to never leave the forest because he would never be accepted amongst humans. Leaving them, he would never be seen again as Lillia's health would worsen at seeing the love of her life only to lose them once again. This pain would eventually cause her to pass as well and much like her husband, she would push Garrett to make another promise and that would be to take care of her Pokemon and always be compassionate and kind to both them and other Pokemon no matter what. Garrett would make this promise and it would be here, his mother's absol would become his primary caretaker as he was raised by her and his aunt through the end.
Now raised by Abby and aunt Shelby, Garrett would spend his whole life in the forest, being accompanied mainly by his mother's absol and slowly building his own Pokemon team, spending his childhood surviving and sheltered alone in the forest with Pokemon as his only friends.
- Upbringing: Time would pass and Garrett continued to grow his Pokemon team and something of a name for himself as a Hermit who helps take care of Pokemon and helps lost Pokemon return to their trainers whilst also training and forming a team of Dark Type Pokemon which he would grow to adore, especially loving his Absol Abby as well. Growing restless, he would eventually want to go out but would continue to struggle with the promise to his parents over him; Having an itch to go out he would grow envious that his aunt was the only one to leave the forest and this restlessness would manifest into a competitive urge that would prompt him to train his Pokemon to be their best as he would pick up activities and hobbies to pass the time. While he would train, he would also learn and pick up several hobbies outside of it but these would only distract from his need to explore.
Time would continue to pass and Garrett, coming into his own or growing past his need to keep the promise, Garrett would go out under the cover of night to explore the world he was in, going far and wide, eventually picking up a job at a Pokemon daycare and learning to live amongst other humans. He would learn and finally grow into a human as he was able to get proper schooling and despite his passion for training, he would be able to grow and become a full-fledged trainer and independent person, quickly building his life up and through his learning and acclimatizing to the society. Being somewhat unusual, he would grow up very alone and independent and whilst he enjoyed seeing the world, meeting other Pokemon, and living amongst humans, Garrett would eventually realize through his work that he could do better than living as a hermit or being a wanderer and in this, he would further his education and training, joining several programs and companies and furthering his career in order to figure out who or what exactly he wanted to do and be.
Now working for his Pokemon and his goals to come to fruition, Garrett would spend his life working to open his own company and working to help Pokemon more than before.
- Hoenn/Pokemon Emerald: During the time of Pokemon Emerald, Garrett would be spending this time working at the Pokemon daycare with his Absol Abby. He still visits his aunt and he is considered very unusual or mocked for his ambitious goals but he continues to work hard, bond with, and train dark type Pokemon growing to have a fondness and affection for them that pushes him to open his own adoption center for his Pokemon.

- Alola/Sun and Moon: Time continues to pass and Garrett would procure enough money and resources to open his adoption center, continuing to develop it as well as work for companies that research and invent tools to help Pokemon even more. Eventually allowed to go on a business oriented vacation to Alola, he and his Absol Abby would work to open up an adoption center here as well as research and observe the Pokemon there for mental notes. He would be found at Tapu Village enjoying the scenery and studying the resources. He's a bit of a workaholic at this time, but his love for dark type Pokemon still goes strong and as such he is down to take care of them as a way to relax aside from it
- Post Alola: Promptly after his vacation, Garrett continues to work and go on business trips expanding his work and wanting to open more of his businesses around. As time progressed, he felt more alone and more isolated and as such, while he's content he begins to feel lonely. Realizing he should probably get more in touch with his heritage or family, he returns to the forest again and lives there thinking of his parents and father but it is here in searching for himself, he is able to tap into his Thris abilities finally being able to see into other dimensions and universes and unfortunately attracting a differing species instead.
- Meeting His Kind: Maybe it was because of his dimensional abilities or maybe it was Neverix still scouring for Thris, but eventually Garrett is found by a group of Neverix and realizing these creatures will actually kill him instead, he is forced to defend himself with his Pokemon. This goes smoothly and for a time they stem them off but eventually they manage to get close to him, ready to attack until they are brought down by an unknown figure, saving him and his Pokemon and introducing herself as Laurette, a female Thris who was sent to find him and patrol in the area.
Explaining herself to be a sort of envoy or scout for other Thris, she offers to take him to the home dimension as she can tell that he's one of them and is a bit lost. She offers to help him find his father or figure out why he's different and reluctantly Garrett agrees to go in order to find out what happened to his father. Traveling for the first time with her, they eventually come to a place where he learns of his people, their need to rebuild their species, and that his father was killed by the same creatures who were hunting him too. Offered to come back and rebuild a life here with his people, Garrett agrees on the condition they teach him to travel as he wants to be with his Pokemon.
He is open to learn of his culture but also affirms his place is with his animals and as such he will help them rebuild what's lost on the condition they help him with his company. Terms they agree to wholeheartedly.
- Currently: Since this agreement, Garrett has managed to make his business better than ever and as such he's more well off and continues to live in his old dimension with his Pokemon. He still helps his people but he also only sought the answers to explain why he is the way he is and for closure on his father following it. Sometimes he returns to learn more but ultimately he's in a comfortable position through it all.
Physical Appearance: Garrett is a 6'3, 187 lbs man with a slight muscular build that appears to be of American descent. He has a diamond shaped face upturned almond shaped eyes with u shaped eyelashes, upturned button nose and light skin. He has straight black hair that's graying slightly and he also has emerald green eyes. He's a bit paler due to work and has some bags under his eyes but all the same he's still a well fit man.
Clothing: Garrett's clothing is probably one of the most casual clothing and attire as his outfits consist of loose, mainly wearing sweaters, jeans, and simple t-shirts. When working, he's known to wear work suits instead and consistently because he's a head of his own company he dresses and wears more formal wear and when he's at home he's known to wear cargo shorts and t-shirts and socks with sandals, dressing like that instead.
Demeanor: Garrett's demeanor can be described as very mellow and pleasant or one of the most normal and rational peeps in it. He has a very calm and pleasant energy and whilst sometimes he can come off a bit aloof or a bit antisocial, he has been known to have a very tender and kind affection towards animals, especially his pokemon and especially harboring a strong love for them and being very affectionate towards them. Given his background, he may seem standoffish or come off as lonely but all the same he's sweet and generally a lax individual to his animals and people his animals like.
Characteristics: Personality wise, Garrett is one of the most lax and mellow individuals you could know; being of the kinder and more polite side than other Thris in the roster. Living his whole life in the forest, Garrett's outlook and demeanor can sometimes lead to him being quite naïve or even a little awkward to certain situations or certain things considered normal but what he makes up for in ignorance, he makes it up by being a generally kind and well-meaning individual especially in relation to animals and pets. As Garrett lost both his parents at a young age, he's somewhat very lonely and pretty attached to his Pokemon, especially his Absol and he is known to be very tender and gentle to them and along with this, given his devotion to training in the past, he can be pretty competitive or overtly proud of his skill when battling to the point he can be shocked if it doesn't work out. Along with this, Garrett is somewhat of a mama's boy ( for his Aunt ) and because of this he can be sensitive and due to this, he can be considered very much a softie despite his aloof nature through everything. This aside, Garrett is someone who while having a lonely or unusual upbringing as a half-blooded child, doesn't exactly openly seek to figure things out, especially because he has a strong dependence and connection to his Pokemon that shows he has a high reliance on them since they're a crux to his confidence or his ability to stay as content or stable as he is. Not only this, but Garrett is described by his coworkers as very compassionate and understanding to his coworkers yet stern and gruff when it comes their ability to care for the Pokemon they meet and bring. Especially if it's in a way he feels they're not doing right and because of this he can sometimes be controlling or very stubborn especially when he believes he's acting in their best intentions. All around, Garrett's air or energy can be considered very mellow, calm, and comfortable as Garrett is one of the least judgmental or outright hateful characters and whilst he sometimes can be passive aggressive, he's an honest and standup person work and casual wise. Interestingly, Garrett is known to be quite brave or adventurous when it comes to helping the Pokemon or animals and as such, this strong love and affection for them can lead to him being stronger or more considered assertive and dominant but this is only in the fact that he loves and cares for animals more than people. It can even border on reckless but this is because when his father and mother left him, he had his Pokemon and animals to be there for him and as such, he will always do whatever he can for them in order to return their presence in his life. On that note, though Garrett does have mellow energy, his treatment of humans or his own kind has been described as stiff or firm as whilst he does understand some of them are there for work too, he finds it hard to connect with them and as such can be guarded at times.
All around, Garrett's a whole hearted animal lover. He loves taking care of them and giving them the best he can and consequently this fondness translates into things he does as he will often find his caring nature getting him into devoting his life to making sure they're taken care of. This can likely contribute to him being a highly stressed or a bit of a workaholic as he will do anything to care for animals and because of this, it shows he's somewhat of a very devoted person and this borders on being even more antisocial or a recluse due to the work and time he puts in. All in all, Garrett is a very friendly and polite man who while can be a bit awkward or a recluse, he's always willing to help animals, sometimes help others and be a genuine person through everything.
It's along with this that Garrett has other traits that can come to mind given his background and status. Having a love for dark type Pokemon, Garrett seems to have a love for things that, much like him, are considered unusual or misunderstood. He can be pretty straightlaced but it's been noted that he has an affection or attraction to things spontaneous or unusual reflecting likely that despite his stiff persona in work and aloof one outside of it, he does have a taste for excitement or things that can be considered bizarre and unconventional. Interestingly, Garrett is one of the more normal or most stable of Thris likely because he has a support system and as such whilst his education was limited, the support from his aunt and Pokemon is always what pushes him to keep himself on the straight and narrow through everything. Another interesting thing to note is Garrett is an observant or very emotionally attuned to others to the point he can be sensitive to others feelings especially if he's close to them. This has helped him with his animals but also led to him being considered very sensitive or somewhat of a busy body because it means he's concerned for others feelings instead. It's this plus Garrett's bitterness if he loses a competition that has led others to lowkey be petty.

Given his whole life and everything he's passionate is about focuses on this, it should be no shock Garrett has quite an expansive knowledge on Pokemon, from caring about them to strategy and as such while he seems average in other places of knowledge, he ultimately is well educated and intelligent when it comes to Pokemon. The man loves his Pokemon, it should be no shock he has knowledge on them from it.

Interestingly, whilst his academic knowledge is average at best, Garrett has a nose for business he wasn’t even sure about but took to and it was honed to the point that he has gotten far on it by itself. It's not his biggest passion but it's still something he has and uses to get through the day despite everything.

- Armor/Attire Wise: Armor and defensive attire wise, Garrett doesn't wear armor often but he leans more to a medium armor or weighted attire something to keep his important parts safe or at the very least keep him alert, active and protective. Honestly, Garrett hasn't ever been in a position where he should have to wear armor but wearing traditional human armor is probably what'd he do.
- Weapons: Weapon wise, Garrett mainly relies on his Pokemon but he's been known to carry a pistol and is quite good with his hands above all else. Like stated he really relies on animals or Pokemon he's trained for offense so ultimately they're what he relies on mostly.

- Excellent. Funnily enough, while Garrett isn't a fighter or weapon/combat savvy he's actually in peak physical condition to be trained in something as he keeps himself in top shape and continues to maintain his body despite his job and prioritizing his Pokemon. It's honestly so ingrained in his routine that not working out is unusual but either or Garrett is at the best he can be athletic wise.

- Canonically, Garrett is one of the Thris to live in a dimension that's time is different than the home dimension, as such he looks slightly older than other Thris due to it
- Garrett's favorite Pokemon are dark types and his least favorite are fairy types.
- Garrett's Pokemon roster is, plus Abby; Absol ( Abby ), Seedot (He Named Nutty), Cacnea (Named Caci), Sableye (Named Sable), Shuppet (Named Shuppy), Poochyena (He called Berry), Eevee (He would name Alex)

- While having a normal color genetics Garrett is still described to have an unusual appearance especially in his eyes
- This could be because of his pupils but his eyes are the most discernable part to him given his Pureblooded father
- Garrett is one of the few Thris to not adopt an alias or go under different names
- Garrett relies heavily on his Pokemon and as such has basic combat and defense knowledge
- This is ironic given he's one of the few physically fit characters to be able to do well, but he ultimately depends on his Pokemon instead and prefers it that way

- Garrett is one of the few Thris not inherently fond of the idea he's a halfling

- Since Garrett is half human, his blood is purple and as such he will often avoid getting cuts, blushing, or doing anything to show it.
- Garrett still visits his parents graves often every year and during this time only Abby can go with him to see them.
- Garrett's Pokemon are fiercely protective of him to the point they don't like other Thris especially Purebloods.
- This has led others of his kind to try and give him an ultimatum between them and him and he ultimately chose his Pokemon over them.
- Garrett has both ran and helped run his and other's companies showing he has quite a nose for business or companies leading him to enjoy kickstarting businesses
- Interestingly, while Garrett is ambivalent to others of his kind, he has gotten along with them or could love someone of his kind.
- He prefers humans but will make an exception to Pureblooded Thris (However he won't date elves because he feels too uncomfortable going that far)
- Garrett is described as a very fair and firm boss that can border on too tight laced but affectionate with an animal instead
- Garrett doesn't really care about Thris politics and as such can be seen very outside of it
- Garrett to this day still wouldn't fully live in the Thris Dimension. To him his Pokemon and Aunt are his family and whilst humans are difficult he identifies more with them than Thris
Weaknesses: Now unlike other Thris Garrett isn't a fighter but he does have vulnerabilities to be exploited. It's not a situation you'd find him in but if it comes to it then these are exploits or chinks in his armor to be utilized.
- Dimensional Traveling
- All Thris are affected by dimensional traveling but Garrett as a half human experiences it differently than Thris. Given he was born and raised in another dimension and is half human, Garrett gets sick easily from dimensional effects and as such he won't travel often to avoid it. Just the thought of it is enough to make him ill so if mentioned or forced to, he may be weaker than others over it because he doesn't like it.

- This weakness is unusual but Garrett has never actually been in a physical fight and as such, physical combat where he has to fight instead of his Pokemon really shocks him. It's not like he can't fight but if someone were to challenge him physically and directly he may teeter between awkwardly trying to call it off or bewildered because he's not someone looking for fight.
- Animals/Pokemon
- This is likely an obvious weakness given Garrett's love for them but Garrett will do anything and everything for animals and Pokemon's happiness or safety. He's quite fond of them and is intuitive to them and as such if they're contained, restricted, or they’re attacked, he will do anything to protect them. It's really a way to get him to fold or get him to hesitate but honestly they mean a lot to him through it all.
- Abby the Absol/His Pokemon
- It connect to his love for animals but Garrett has a strong love for his Pokemon too namely his Absol, Abby. Being the last thing of his mother's Garrett is incredibly protective of his Absol and she in turn and because of this if she or any other Pokemon of his is threatened and he has the power to stop it then he will do whatever he can to save them. They are his best friends and he loves them more than anything and as such they're the quickest way to get him on his knees.
- Bringing Up His Father
- This weakness is sort of a low blow, but Garrett has unresolved feelings and questions involving his father that put him in a dark place. He often wonders why his father mated with his mother, he wonders if he did in fact love her, and he wonders why he wanted to keep him in the forest. All around, Garrett's father is a tender issue and if his father was brought up or more on his father's personal motives or who he was back then is brought up then he will be more willing to do whatever someone asks.
- Workaholic Tendency
- This tendency is somewhat a merit and a curse but Garrett is quite a workaholic and his need to work or drive himself into it can be exploited to keep him weak or subdued especially because it's a weakness he's not wholly aware of. It's quite common or keeps him subdued but all around a weakness that can worsen him if needing to distract him.
- Mentioning His Nonhuman Side
- This weakness sort of connects to his father but Garrett is pretty perturbed by his Thris heritage or the fact that he's a halfling. It's sort of a vulnerable or sore spot for him but if he's mocked or inquired about it he won't really be happy about it especially because he doesn't like it. It's sort of a defensive topic and can distract him and this distraction can lead to someone preying on his insecurity if it comes to it.
Fate: Future wise, Garrett is probably one of the few to have an easy going fate. Given he's half human he doesn't exactly have to help breed more Thris to save the species and as such, he continues to live with his Pokemon and Aunt in their dimension, building his company and working well into retirement where he returns to the forest to sit and enjoy his days with his Pokemon. He's bred and trained more but his Absol still stays by his side and together they spend their days having fun and enjoying each other through everything. Ultimately, it's not known if he ever gets married or has children but I imagine he spends his life peacefully away from the Thris and others in the company of the animals and Pokemon he loves. This is likely the way he goes until peacefully passing on allowing his Pokemon to be free again after so and dying in the company of the Pokemon he's worked to be happy.

- Religion wise Garrett used to believe in Arceus but since he's learnt of his true heritage he teeters between agnosticism and not inherently being religious
- Garrett is one of the few Thris to genuinely love and have a fondness for humans. Given he's been around them more than Thris it's not a shock but it's perplexed other Thris that he's one of the few to prefer them romantically/sexually instead
- This is further emphasized as Garrett is sexually attracted to female humans but could romantically love either sex whilst having somewhat of a barrier when being pursued by other species
- Garrett's favorite subject in school is English and Math
- Garrett is considered one of the easiest people to work with when around animals but insanely awkward without
- Garrett's favorite color is green, dark grey, and maroon
- Garrett is canonically heterosexual and as such he will only be sexually attracted by females
