the back wing would do better if it is connected directly to the top of the fuselage and try putting 3D vectoring nozzles instead of these. inlets are a bit too far from leading edge, i would move them a little forward.
and i'm a fan on manned aircraft, so i would like to see cockpit on this thing, but don't pay much attention, that's just me...

nice, if you don't mind, i'll take this as a challenge, a new project! but in what concerns the back wing, i tried to connect it that way, but i couldn't find the right shape, so i used the solution provided by X-97 (maybe i didn't search enough, i'll try it again now), about TVC check out this [link] i think this is the future of TVC since it involves less mechanical parts, thus less weight and a faster response, deflection provided - up to 15degrees in each direction... the paddles here have only the function to form a convergent-divergent nozzle...

i tried to that one exactly, but i realized that that plane can't have all it has in the movie, so then i had to find solutions, and this is what i end up with though i do wan't to make a VTOL UCAV... maybe next time
