Description
My first ever lightning strike caught on camera, I know it's not the best quality photo but seeing as I was struggling with an ND Filter, cable release, rain & tripod while in my car I don't think it's a bad effort

Awesome! How did you do it? I've heard about various methods. Unfortunately, we don't get a lot of lightning around here.
I love the clouds or wisp in the foreground.

How did I do it, pure luck. Sitting in my car in the pouring rain, my tripod jammed between me & the door with open window the wind howling I put on ND filter so I'd get fluffy waves (it was still pretty light when I took the photo as it was just on sunset)I attached my cable release & put camera on BULB & crossed my fingers. I only managed to get this one as not long after I took this the hail & super strong winds started & I got out of there

Wow! It sounds like it was amazing! I would never have guessed it was sunset. The fluffy waves were a nice touch. The crossed fingers must have paid off.
