Chapter 2: "Sleepover?"

Kari's POV

"So you are going to let Dawn spoil your fun?" i asked Jonathon, who was sitting next to me underneath a shady tree (although it wasn't sunny). We were at odaiba park and clouds were in the sky. Magaret, MJ, Dawn, and Dan were playing a friendly game of soccer in the fields. Jonathon was like his father in so many ways. For one he never looked up from his laptop.
"Well...No, not precisely. Soccer isn't my idea of recreation." he sighed, screening his face with the laptop.
"Okay, then after they're done, we'll do something we all like." i said patting him on the back.
"Hey, Magaret, you know in football you run towards the ball, not from it." roared Dan as he hit floor with his laughter.
"Yeah, Maggie, kicking once in while wouldn't be such a horrible idea, either." chuckled Dawn. MJ put her hand over her mouth to stop the laughter from spilling out.
The ball rolled toward me and jonathon. I stopped with my hands and rose to my feet.
"Hey, guys, why don't we take a break from soccer and do something that Jonathon likes too?" i asked putting my hand on his shoulder.
"Cause i don't feel like wasting my whole day doing extra credit." Dawn said.
"Hey, i don't spend my entire day doing extra credit." Jonathon said calmly, still not looking up from his laptop.
"Oh gag me." Dawn said with a hint of amusment.
"I would, but i'm running on empty." said Dan clutching his Stomach and leaning over.
"I know you mean." said Dawn as her stomach growled.
I shook my head. She was the spitting image of her father, from her apetite to her appearance.
"Well, we could get something to eat." i said "But maybe we should pick up the digimon first."
"Good idea, mom." said Magaret as we left the park.

Magaret's POV

"Geez, Dawn. It would be even tastier if some of the food actually went in your mouth instead of protecting it from an alien invasion." Said MJ. We were at the pizza parlor with our digimon and Dawn, Dan, Agumon, and Veemon already finished off a pie. MJ, Jonathon, and i had only ate a slice each.
In a matter of five minutes, we were all done.
"Here's for my share." said Dawn placing her money on the table and leaving to go to the bathroom with MJ. Mom was going to pay the waiter and Dan was playing an arcade game.
"Talk about a slob." said Jonathon placing his money on the table also.
"Yeah, sloppy and annoying, yet loyal and friendly." i laughed.
"Friendly? Interesting adjective, Magaret." he sighed.
"She can be when she wants to." i said.
"I guess." he muttered.
"She probably is just a little hard on the outside, but Dawn could be nice when she wants to." i smiled.
"A little?" said Tentamon.
"Hey, guys, ready to jet?" Said Dawn from behind us.
"Uhh... yeah." I said.

Jonathon's POV

"So now what?" asked Dawn, leaning her back against the window of the shop. We were on the streets. It was only about 11:00 and tomorrow morning seemed as though it would never come. Ms. Kimura was on the phone and we were desperate to find something to do.
"Okay, Davis. I'll bring him home. No, you idiot. Shut up." she giggled. "Hey Dan, your dad wants you to come home so we'll walk you home."
"OKay," he said, "thanks for having me, it was fun."
"No problem." Ms. kimura responded.
Within 20 min Dan was home and we were again desperate something to do.
"Let's go to the arcade." suggested Dawn.
"No." said Magaret.
"Let's go shopping!" Said MJ.
"NO!" Dawn shouted.
"How about a movie?" i said.
"Sure." they all said at once.
"I say action." said Dawn.
"How about Comedy?" said Magaret.
"Romance." MJ said directly after sure.
"Hey, let's let Jonathon choose." said Aunt Kari.
"Please choose action." Dawn pouted in my ear before giving me her puppy dog face.
"She sure does look cute when she does that." i thought to myself. "No jonathon stop it. she is not CUTE. Why do i use that to describe HER? God, what is happening?"
"I guess action's cool."i blurted out without giving it any second thought.
"Thank you." she whispered in my ear.
Did i just give in to a girl i hate? I must be having a mental breakdown.
"Okay fine." said MJ tossing her arms in the air.
"Yeah we could always watch something funny and romantic at the sleepover." said Margaret.
"Sleepover?" i asked breaking out of thoughts.
"Yeah, you're staying the night, right?" said MJ.
"Oh, yeah." I said feeling suddenly nervous.
