Digimon 2.5 Fanfic (I was Bored O_O)
chapter one: "Great"

Dawn's POV

It was saturday morning and I lazily rolled off my bed. I quickly glanced up at my clock. It was 7:46 am. It was probably the earliest I've ever gotten up on a saturday. I guess I had to. Mom said something about Aunt Kari coming to babysit early, but i didn't pay attention to the rest.
I quickly brushed my teeth and ran outside. I was starved and I smelt something good in the kitchen.
"Ahh!" i screamed as i saw Jonathon Izumi sitting at my breakfast table typing something on his laptop. "So it's true when you prank someone it comes back to haunt you." I said jumping backwards.
"Dawn, you're screaming is rather childish. Any how, good morning." He said his eyes not straying from his laptop.
"No it's not." I mumbled under my breath.
"Dawn, Mr. Izumi had some business to take care of out of town and Mrs. Izumi is accompanying him. We agreed to take of him for tonight. Aunt Kari will take of you two for today until we come home." Said my mother sipping her coffee.
"WHAT!?!" i screamed " Tonight? Does that mean I'm spending my day with brainiac over here?!"
"Don't worry since your dad and i are working late tonight so aunt kari is staying the night with MJ and Magaret."
"Great" I exclaimed sarcasicly, pouring in to the seat next to my dad, and strecthing my eye with two fingers.
"Don't worry, Dawn. The feeling is Mutual." he said, his eyes still not straying from the computer.
My mom giggled. Me, not understanding what that meant, growled.
During the whole of breakfast Jonathon and my mom discussed different things from the news to the theories in science. My dad just stayed behind his newspaper (which he probably wasn't reading, but did that to avoid sounding stupid in front of Jonathon) and ocassionaly mumbled words like "good grief" and "wow" while flipping pages. By 8:00 I got changed and silently tried to sneek out the door.
"Nice try, Kiddo." giggled Dad, indicating for me to sit back down.
"Aww, dad i promised to go play soccer with Dan, but I know you had Aunt Kari coming and didn't want to have her come see me play."
"Why?" Jonathon blurted out flatly, "Uh... Not to intrude." He said, finaly looking up from his laptop. Was his cheeks turning pink?
"Fine, if you want to know...I am ten now and i don't need a baby sitter. It's not that i don't like Aunt Kari...it's just that I don't want an adult to suck the fun out of everything." I said looking down. I saw the look on mom's face. It screamed grounded or lecture.
"We get it." said Dad, to my surprise, "And as much as we get it we can't let it happen. Too dangerous." said mom, from the other end of me, getting up to wash the dishes.
"Okay." I said trying to come up with another plan to escape.
"Why don't you wait untill aunt kari comes and then you can all go to the park?" dad whispered.
"Nah, brainsworth can't handle the park." i giggled staring at him smile behind his computer. Why would he smile? He must have come across a really challenging problem. The door bell chimed. I ran to get it and opened up to see Aunt Kari with MJ and Magaret at her side.
"Hi, honey!" she said hugging me.
"Hey, Kars, do us a favor and take them to the park. Dawn is meeting Dan there." Said dad kissing my mom good bye.
"See you guys later." said my mom locking the door.
"So the park, huh?"
"Yep. Me and Dan..."
"Dan and I." Jonathon corrected.
"No, you didn't make plans with dan, i did. Me and Dan are practicing soccer for the game on monday." Jonathon banged his head against the table.
Maggie and MJ just giggled as Aunt Kari smiled. I grinned. "Maybe i could make his life miserable for the day. No, just by being around him i aggravate him," i thought to myself.

Jonathon's POV

"God, she could drive any one up a wall." i muttered as i typed my extra credit homework.
We were at Odaiba Park. Magaret and MJ were playing a game of soccer with Dan and Dawn. Miss Kimura sat next to me watching them smiling to her self.
"Hey, Jonathon, why don't you go play with them? I mean I'm sure you don't want to miss all the fun." she joked.
"Uh... yeah...I'm not the best soccer player." i replied carefully choosing my words.
"Well give it a shot!" she said.
"Uhh...I am afraid dawn makes fun of me."
