Description Cinderello is a poor boy whose kindness towards a snake earns him a magical ring that in turn earns him the king's daughter. When the princess and the ring are lost to an evil wizard, Cinderello's cat and dog come to the rescue...

The first in a series of greek traditional fairytales I've been illustrating for the past three years. Hopefully in greek bookstores in time for Christmas.

2003. Ecolines and a dash of Photoshop

That's such a beautiful picture...I love the atmosphere of it...it's so peaceful and calm...
It leaves such a nice feeling in me, looking at it.
Plus the colouring is so nice and fitting...it's simple yet but so beautiful...
I really can imagine it as an illustration for a book...
what's the name of the fairytale? An traditional greek one...I only know greek myths...

Thank you for your kind comment and my apologies for not replying sooner. The name of the fairytale is 'Cinderello' and it's a greek traditional folktale. It is relatively unknown, although it has many elements featured in more famous stories --in many ways it's 'Aladdin' meets 'Puss in boots' with the addition of a dog and a Serpent Prince

Well, even an illustrator has to make a living (although I wouldn't describe the last three years as 'living'). Glad you liked it

So tight it occasionally becomes nerve-breaking. How I miss the good old loose days...
