Description This seems to be one of a handful of times that my scanner actually hurts my art >_> Usually, the scans look pretty good because my scanner ads depth... but this once, I'm happy with the picture and not the scan.

Anyway, This is ~aerismccain 's character, Calico, done for the PE weekly exchange. She was cool to draw and I promise I spent way more than the necessary 20 minutes on it, even if you can't tell

Love the hair flows beautifully. How do you scan your drawings? It's just pencil right? Mine always come up gritty and then if I drop the dpi down it loses lots of detail.

It's mostly my scanner that makes the scans look so nice. I use really smooth papers and mechanical pencils that help with random grittiness, and generally scan at 300dpi for printsize before reducing to 72dpi for 'net... but the same pictures scanned on different machines don't look half as nice. My scanner's a monstrous dinosaur from around 1997 and I'm dreading the day it finally kicks the bucket

Thanks for the info. Smooth paper... check. Smooth pencils... check. Ancient mystical printer... um yeah uh don't have that. Happy holidays.

Holy hot damn! Her hair is incredible and I love the pose, it's so simple yet so powerfully feminine and strong. Her hand is terrific and her anatomy is superb. I loooove.

Her hair looks so awesome, but I just want to pet her tummy. o.o I dunno why, but it just looks so nice and pet-able. ;; And I will never stop being fascinated with the way you draw hips.

She looks FANTASTIC. I'm in love with that abdomen. Great job, I love the pose and the way you did her hair (thank you for putting me to SHAME! haha). And I think her hand is just perfect. Damn you Amber. Damn you to Hell. *shakes her fist*

Okay not really. But I meant the fist shaking.
