This is probably something I'd definitely use as a desktop background in a heart beat.
Like the person below said... So simple, yet the colour, shape and contrast as it approaches the center is... striking.
Love it : )

I am glad you submitted it. I think it is very cool.
I often work and work and feel like something is not perfect and get all frustrated and either put it on hold or scrap it. I wonder how many times I would have turned something out that OTHERS found inspiration from (like this), even though I did not particularly like it myself.

Nice stuff, checked out the full view and the detail on the central image is just astounding. The swirly nature of everything really gives this a design-esque vibe, its like when I turn on my ps2 the little floaty clouds and boxes that show up prior to the words "playstation 2" appearing on the screen.
I've always been a big fan of using red against a black backdrop, its very cool and edgy. You though used a darker shade of red and were still able to get that same contrast effect. Mixing in the white too helps create a "glow" that makes the thing stand out all the more. This is the kind of thing you'd see on a T-shirt maybe? not really sure about that. Its a cool design though, I'm sure there are plenty of uses for it [just ones I'm not aware of]
Excellent work!

Thank you.
To be perfectly honest, the render itself was totally accidental, i had planned on something a bit more bulky... but that's the thing with abstract rendering, it never goes according to plan.
Playing with different modifiers and 'matrix extrude' settings as well as adding hyper nurbs all contribute to making something like this.
