as i have always been a superman fan and with the recent passing of Christopher Reeve, who i will say was more than just a hollywood superman but also a real life one whos percistence pushed for devolopements far greater than most would have imagined. he will be greatly missed. so as a tribute to a him i decided to digitally colour this image of superman which was done in photoshopRelated content

Yeah on screen and off Reeve was a true Superman. This piece is amazing. It reminds me of the old school or retro Superman of the 80's and 90's.

I'm not going to lie to you, I do plan on asking a LOT of people to come and join! This site is amazing but you really have to dig through a lot of stuff to get to the really good comic related pics and it can be quite tedious. The crit forum at comicbloc is one of the friendliest and most supportive on the net and if you are any kind of comic fan, I guarantee that you have been entertained by at least one of the professionals who grace the site with their presence. Geoff Johns (who helps run the site) and Kurt Busiek will both be writing Superman in a few months and they post there fairly often so there will be a TON of Superman fans at the site in a month or two (as if there wasn't a lot already!)
If you do decide to join up, I'd totally appreciate it if you filled in "Brian LaBelle" as your referrer but please don't feel you have to mention me on the site or anything, it won't win you any points with anyone and joining is more than enough thanks for me. I will say most people there don't really dig having to click on links so if there's any way you can directly your post your pics there first and then build up a little following who WILL come check out the pics here, I'd recommend doing that.

a nice job in collouring this one...i especially love the shading...it gives him a almost 3dimentional look....maybe the backgound could have been a little lighter it seems to distract of some of his closes,whos shades are the same as the background, ...other than that keep it up

you colored byt didn't draw it? Ok then ... the coloring works quite well. nice bright colors of course suit his costume ... I like that you didn't shade that much, since the inking already takes care of most of that ... good work.
