Red is a protagonist of the pokΓ©mon manga (PokΓ©mon Special/Adventures) which is the version which constitutes the version where he has three spikes on his hair (like my Red here has) OR - you ever played PokΓ©mon Red/Green/Blue/(Heart)Gold/(Soul)Silver? - he is the character of the PokΓ©mon video games. In Red/Green/Blue he is the character which you are playing (often mistaken as Ash), in (Heart)Gold, (Soul)Silver and Crystal he is the PokΓ©mon Master you have to fight after the champ, the strongest Trainer in the game. People mostly make FanArt of the game version 
And as you know Ash is the character of the Anime
