Been a long time since you've seen these two, huh?New followers probably have never seen these two
Intro page to a series about these two.
Will try my best to actually continue this because I made a promise.
I'm still very rusty; forgive me- I have no idea how to make clothes wrinkles or human bodies or anything *cries* ;A;

this is really cool, i mean it's the first time of me seeing these oc's but it is really good

did you do it in pencil first and then go over it in pen or did go straight into doing it with pen?

Well, when doing serious stuff like this, I like to go with pencil first. Just to be safe! That way if I don't like something, then I can just erase it and redraw.
Then when I go over it with pen... it definitely won't be PERFECTLY traced. The pencils are more just like guidelines. Because if I tried to make it perfectly traced, it will more likely come out NOT perfectly traced xD
Then I erase all the pencil... and if I want to go ahead and add some small details, I will with pen without going into pencil.

Oh, and also realism. While of course my comics are always FAR from realism and stuff and I draw more cartoony things, realism is always good to practice. And you will find that even your cartoony stuff will improve after you practice realism.
Though realism is also very important to study if you wanna draw manga and things

Hmm... lesse. Well. If you're going for a more manga look, make sure your lines are thin. Mm... make sure you shade in shadows so that your pictures don't look so flat (unless you want them to look flat).
Uh... detail depends on what kind of effect you want. If you want something to be dramatic, you would want more detail. It's kind of hard to give you pointers though because I don't know what kind of look your aiming for.
What I did, though, to learn how to detail the way I want is to look at other comics/manga whose art style I absolutely love and kind of try to copy the style. Then, after a while, all of the different styles kind of incorporate into your own unique style! And then you're original, yay!
I think lots of my inking style comes from reading Jhonen Vasquez comics and watching and
is where I learned to ink things for, like, my sillier stuff like my SPM comics. Watching helped me decide how I wanted to detail these comics.
