yeah, i have a feeling he will be for a long time until another shockwave comes along and takes his spot. maybe some day a proper classics G1 styled shockwave will be made. (yeah right)

Like (but hopefully not like) BH Shockwave?
Quakewave is about as close as we'll get.

agreed. but quakewave is more for masterpiece scale and prime shockwave is not right for a classics one.

True (on both accounts.)
I'm definitely keeping Shockwave's wings up in robot mode. I think they help give him more character.

By the way, a bit of old elecrical tubing/wiring from something like an old cellphone charger can be jammed into one of several holes on his backpack and stuck into a gap between his arm and cannon to give him a more G1 vibe.

Is that PhotoShop or did you physically paint his eye yellow?

Gotcha. I tempted to take the head apart for a full reliant but it'll be a nightmare to do so since Hasbro likes using glue to fuse the head pieces together for WfC and FoC figures.
Have you thought about using BiS/CHUG Cyclonus' legs? It works quite well!

not really. i like the mold the way it is. yeah i tried to take his head apart for and easier time painting his eye but that did not happen.

I really wish Hasbro would stop using glue. Made working on the WfC incredibly difficult when you have a hard time getting at all those small details.

Definitely looks good, though technicly a Classics toy is supposed to be a G1 character. And this version of Shockwave is from the FOC game, which is a prequal to Transformers Prime! Seriously! [link] Still, great toy...

yeah i know. my classics shelf was just in need of a classics shockwave. and the mold fits. he has a secret gun mode and i removed his wings. i have an un-modified FOC shockwave for my FOC collection.

I'm just going to keep mine in his "Cannon with wings mode" I came up with. It's just keeping his wings swept back in vehicle mode, which I feel enhances the silhouette of the vehicle and makes it more of a convincing flyer.

Not to mention that the FoC figures are part of the Generations line, and CHUG figures are what people have been using for their Classics displays.
Not all Classics figures have to be slavish homages to the originals, look at Perceptor's funky alt mode or Scourge's Boeing X-48 alt mode, for example.
