I can imagine I have Windows 10 for some daily user projects but really I like Linux Mint and cinnamon desktop and now that photomatix makes it completely working HDR program for Debian Linux, and GIMP has gotten so much better... I can almost use Linux as my every purpose machine .. one thing is updates coming immediately and install and deploy and update the kernel so so much faster than Windows

Definitely Linux has its advantages and myself included I would love to switch tomorrow but I'm a web designer/developer and I need fast reliable tools like the Adobe suite, Affinity designer and a bunch of others a well which don't work on Linux and WINE is not an option for me so for now I'm stuck to Windows, which to be honest it's quite stable for a few years now and most things just work plus I have some creative freedom to customize it as well.

I see.. That's an interesting job for sure! Elive looks interesting, minimalistic and fast. Never tried it.

Mahatma-Lynx In reply to dpcdpc11 [2018-08-26 18:09:49 +0000 UTC]
Well Elive is 32 bit... They have code programmed in some special way to have physical address extension of ram like 64-bit computers have so it will recognize and use all of 16GB or 24 or 32 whatever you have but it's still a 32-bit program so in that respect they are incredibly unique. But because they are 32-bit program for Linux Google Chrome or chromium stop developing 32-bit browsers way back at about version 42 so it's way behind for security and I wouldn't want to use their browser for doing anything that requires a secure password login to any specific website that might be involved with banking or PayPal or something moving money this way or that way but it is absolutely beautiful what they have done with their Enlightenment environment and iCandy and Compizz Fusion graphics

Man, I'd wish there'd be Visual Styles like this for Windows 10. There are so many awesome Themes for 7 while 10 is so ugly that it needs awesome Themes like this one so much more.

Windows 10 doesn't have Aero no more which made the window frames translucent so that's why there aren't themes likes this for Windows 10!

what wallpaper? the package doesn't include any wallpapers! I don't have the rights to distribute someone else's wallpapers.
plus I have no idea what photo I've used in the preview. as you can see it was made 4 years ago... that's a lot of time you know!

Nope.. I'm on Windows 8.1 and I don't plan on upgrading any time soon. Plus this theme is based on the Aero interface with transparency which doesn't exist in win10.

It's my most popular and downloaded themes. I like it a lot and I feel really bad because I can't port it to win 8 because Microsoft removed aero from win 8. Too bad! Thanks for being a fan btw!

Microsoft made a big thing about Aero for Win7, that was great, then suddenly the changed completely in Win8... sometimes you'd wonder what they have on their minds, and if they do care about their customers. I don't think so. It has been happening for years about everything "Windows". A few years ago, IE11 was supposed to be the best browser Microsoft had created... now, it seems to be totally forgotten and all you can hear talking about is Edge... I must say that in 2005, I was just as happy with my bright Windows XP than I am today with Windows 10 !!

I totally agree with you my friend!
UI wise Windows 10 is pretty confusing. You have flat almost every where, then you have transparency which makes no sense like in tge start menu and taskbar and then you have old UI elements from the Vista legacy.
They should

Thanks for being a fan! Unfortunately since windows 8, microsoft removed the Aero interface so I can't port the Leaf themes on win 8 cause I would need to enable transparency.
There are 3rd party apps that try to bring back Aero transparency but from my tests they are not stable enough for everyday use... So yeah, thanks Microshit!

So, for the patcher, I downloaded it and ran it. It says I have to patch 3 files, but it only does 2. It patches two and one column? row? for the last file is just completely empty. blank. Am I safe to continue??

Not sure... Normally you need all the files patched. You can give it a try.

This looks like a wonderful theme! Is there any way you could upload a new link to the theme patcher? 2/3 of the links provided on that website are dead and the last one is in Russian and Google Translate couldn't tell me where the download button was, haha.

Thank you so much! That link worked perfectly. I just finished installing the theme(s) (at least I hope I did), and I can't seem to find a way to change my Minimize, Restore/Maximize, and Close buttons. I got my navigation buttons changed, just not those three. I'm also really confused about what I'm supposed to do with the font files. I'm super new to this stuff, so sorry if I'm missing something totally obvious. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

dpcdpc11 In reply to Meeporami [2014-04-24 18:17:43 +0000 UTC]
The theme supports only the default 96dpi display setting. So if your using the windows scaling (zoom) then you won't see the proper caption buttons.
About the fonts... the theme uses certain fonts, the fonts that you mentioned. Installing a font in windows is super easy: right click on the font file > Install. Then restart your PC and you're done.

Meeporami In reply to dpcdpc11 [2014-04-24 21:22:57 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for the font help! As for my caption button issue: my windows scaling is already set at the default 100% (96dpi) display and I'm still unable to see the caption buttons. Is it possible there was a glitch while downloading the files and they weren't included?
