Albeit it scanned better then coloured pencils, but still the colours just end up so not nice with scanners T_T.I was doodleing the other day and chose to use the headshot bust thing as marker practice. You can't see it in this but there is a lot of green underneath the initial coloured picture (I drew it in green first) I like how his hair turned out and the colar of his jacket thing.
Tools used: Prisma col-erase pencils, Copic Markers, and my beloved Touch markers O_o (they work like wonders and only cost $2.65 CAN a marker. ) aannndddd some white paint stuff. Edited colours and background in photoshop.

His hair is gorgeous, it looks almost like flames or as if it's glowing from within.
And it's great that you're able to use a range of media, even if markers or crayons don't scan very well.

I do always love the look of markers. It adds a nice subtle effect to the picture that can't (or can it?) be copied in photoshop ^.^

People come pretty close to getting this look in photoshop. So it is doable. It's really no different from having people mimick reality with their drawings.

True...but it is probably a little easier to do it with actual markers...plus you can't get high from the smell of photoshop (although you can take that as both a positive or a negative I suppose)

I don't like using markers because of the smell. After using them for a certain amount of time my head starts to hurt really badly.
