Description
One of the "interesting" design approach that I made for a challenge in Facebook. The stone's pattern is shaped like a fish, and so I decided to do this approach rather than my usual symmetrical design. In my imagination the fish is being tangled by seaweeds and it is trying to swim upward (along with the turtles) to break free.This necklace is not heavy even though it appears to be so. The design was a winner - a lot of people liked it but only one person said that the necklace's string is conflicting with the focal design. As I said, this approach was interesting. I think I want to make more fish

Even though I can't stand the taste of fish, for some reason I really like something about fish.. For example I collected fish plushies as I kid, and I still can't give them up xD

Oh fish plushies are the best!! I still have some - I gave them to my kids LOL
The challenge theme was about the sea and its creatures so my first thought was fish. I could've made a starfish or something else, but the thought of a fish trying to break free was really entertaining

Very interesting design. Love the center druzy stone (I love druzy materials). I actually think the asymmetry make for a much more interesting necklace. Love all the swirly curlicue wire work. Congrats on the DD!

Yes druzy materials are interesting, especially the natural color ones (I was lucky to get my hands on this, they are rare because this kind of color doesn't sell that much). I made the asymmetry because no shape would accommodate the fish - symmetrical positions would make it look so stiff. Thank you again for commenting. I really appreciate itΒ Β

The focal is a natural agate from Indonesia. It is actually a cabochon with chalcedony and quartz crystals stuck on one side.
The rest are Swarovskis and cubic zirconias
