Malcolm McDowell as Alex DeLargeFrom Stanley Kubricks 1972 film - adapted from one of my favourite novels by Anthony Burgess.
Third cp attempt - on Strathmore Bristol 300 series vellum. I THINK I'm getting slightly better at this! Although I still mixed every different type of pencil I had lol.... but I limited it to about 15 colours!!
A lot of time! (mostly spent doing pointless touchups as usual

I just left you a big comment on your burnish or not burnish thing. but I forgot to tell you so I came here, which is a better place for it anyway.
This is REALLY good. Probably better than you think from reading a few of your comments. Read what I wrote but I personally feel that if you just hit this, and I mean HIT it with a white Prismacolor
and just trust the process that it would be like...completely unreal. Least that's the look I like. It barely affects the colors and you can go back and touch up any parts you want darker. And when I say hit it I don't mean press down hard. That's the last thing you wanna do cuz if you press hard it will just dump a shitload of wax on the surface and later layers of color won't go down as easily. That's one of the reasons you wanna build layers slow and thin. Less wax buildup. By hit it I mean more like go over it with some assurance. You might be thinking it will look too smooth but that's not the case at all. [link] I went all over that with a white pencil. It's got plenty of texture.
Give the whole thing a nice smooth gentile wipe with a piece of tissue paper beforehand if you do it. Get some of the excess wax off. The color will lay down better if you do.
Great job...really. You'll figure it out. It's just a matter of time and repetition. You obviously got this CP thing.

This one I tried to do lighter layers & I think it was a better technique - I used the colourless blender in a few small patches, but not much - I felt a little more confident over here. Yes I LOVE your work! Thats exactly the effect I'm looking for, I will certainly give your suggestions a go.
I think I'm having a hard time still looking at it different as I'm used to graphite... where I draw a bit a basically, smudge that over the rest to get the tone I want! Its hard to get your head around a new way of working - but I'm finding the cp pretty intriguing I must say - its always good to master something new
