Well I just wanted to draw Chara in a cute shirt dress kind of thing making a doofy face. So, here we are! Chara probably said something a little too silly or maybe something insensitive (she can have kind of a big mouth sometimes).I liked how the sketch for this one turned out, and since I got a snow day today (praise the lawd) I thought I'd color it and have some fun~
Played around with my coloring, changing it up a bit. I haven't played with gradients like this for a while. It was great to mix things up like this, and I dig the effect it gave. I'll have to play around with this some more later~WIP here --> mistytang.tumblr.com/post/7844β¦

I love that her pose is very attitude, but her expression is kind of embarrassed and awkward. Its an awesome contrast, and it really seems like we've caught a moment.

Eee, well thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy that contrast. Chara is kind of a dummy really (she's super-intelligent like most Space Elves, but she does a lot of dumb stuff), so she gets to have a lot of fun expressions like this. She's always a lot of fun for me to draw because she's so expressive.

She looks so bashful and unsure - it's great to see this side of her. This is the sort of expression that Eirlys might done once in a while, but it's great to see Chara seem uncomfortable for once.

Heehee, I figured I'd been drawing Chara a little too serene recently so I thought it'd be nice to draw her more silly (as she is wont to do).
