Aww, so you're a rat fan too! They look adorable! Dexter seems like he's really enjoying being piled on!

I loved having ratties; had them for years. That was the next-to-last batch, and one of the best. Badger was the most awesome little rattie ever, and we used him as our "Rat Ambassador" to educate people on what awesome pets they make.

Awww! He reminds me of one of my rats a bit...

I've had rats for about ten years. I'm currently ratless (my last rats were especially wonderful and lived really long, I miss them a lot) but I'm starting to think about getting rats again.

I do too, at intervals, but I keep putting it off until we can get a house. Our apartment is so cold in the winter, and I worry that they get sick more often. I also have a hard time saying goodbye after a such a short intervals, as compared to horses, cats, dogs, etc. But they're such awesome little pets I'm sure I'll end up with some again one of these days ^_^

Yeah, the only downside of having rats is how short their lives are... My last boys were nearly 3 years old when they died and I miss them a lot. But I also miss having rats at home so I'm pretty sure I'll end up with them at some point in the future too.

Putting it off until you get a better place to live is reasonable too! I'd probably do the same, I always worry about my rats catching a cold in winters.

Yeah, exactly. Once we get a place with a fireplace, they can live in the warm room and I won't worry so much. Until then, though, we're stuck in a no-pets apartment, which is pretty depressing. Still, someday!
