The THOR movie was good. Not great but entertaining enough. Mythology is one of my passions. I’ve tried to read Campbell with some comprehension. Man, that’s some deep stuff but so kewl. I was thinking large wooden beams, long mead hall, a real retro look in a grandeur scale. I was blown away when Asgard turned out to be a modern metallic, beautiful architect, city on a grandeur scale. Loved seeing many of the Asgardian characters from the comic book. Anyway, so I was thinking, I think a lot, what would our gods think of where we are today as a human race? Your god, or anyone else’s god… how would they see us?
My bf described a scene to me. Thor sitting on green pastures looking at a place from his past he had spent some time at with friends who worshipped him not just as a god but as their friend. There were many places like that home to those honored and cherished. It was a wonderful time of merriment the energy of a child’s dream, for a future filled with great promise. Now, Thor grins at the future. He wonders if man, as a species, can survive the technological advancement and avoid self destruction? As gods should they have given free choice so freely?

Interesting thought I felt, kinda depressing. Well, decided to draw it anyway and glad I did.
