Paladins for YEARS used to me my default class. I was to the point that it was my only class to play. When 3.5 came out, clerics looked quite tempting, and even monks.
Brother Zeik used to look like this [link] until he was revised for a certain storyline in the comic series Onward Bound. I don't write the stories, I just do the artwork for the publisher. He liked this character.
