Mufasa just arrived in the sky where the great kings live after their death. But not only royal lions, but also other royal animals are up there.
Here he sits thinking how his son has it..and how bad he feels for not be there for him.
Bambi´s mother has been some years up there and learn to make a manse with the thought. As she reminds herself of her paint of leaving Bambi alone after her death. When she sees Mufasa, she walks toward him telling him that the first year is the hardest, not knowing if the once left behind will survive and knowing they cant do anything but watch. But it will past, as long as they know you will watch over them, they will have the strength and will to keep forward.
