Quite a few people have asked how Elliel and Naelia met and randomly this week I got a ton of visuals for it 
One of my new years resolutions was to make more comics– learn to get into the motions and do short ones so our future projects come easier. I hope you guys don’t mind the elf girlfriends being my test subjects for now (hint there is another one of them in the works as we speak aha)
I really hope you guys like this! I approached this one with wild abandon and tried not to linger on it too long, but I hope it gets the emotions across well

I recall reading on your Tumbler account Naelliel was once engaged to an older woman, will we get to learn more about that relationship at some point in future?
Also how much older was she supposed to be? She didn't look that much older in the illustration.

Naiads don't show their age much! Typical elves, am I right?
But we might get some more info on them, it depends on my partner Bee and when she gets around to writing about them!

Oh I hope so, a lot of the relationships the Elf girlfriends have and had are very eye-catching. Though those two will always be the number one couple to me here.

I just read this again for probably like the millionth time ;7;
Something I find amazing about this is how natural the dialogue sounds yet at the same time it really has a sense of flow. Not just that but there's lots of room to read between the lines and figure out nuances of the interaction and the character's feelings just from this small segment
Also, I adore how Ellie is speaking in a kind of cockney- like dialect. I think that's a really nice touch! I'm actually from Britain myself and, I often do hear people speaking in cockney accents or the like and I think this was written very nicely and authentically. And then Nae with her valley girl speak ... She's such a cutie!
I especially like the panel where Nae looks up and sees Ellie and her face looks like a mixture of 'woah she's gorgeous' and also 'woah there are people my age here??'
You did an excellent job with this and I can't wait to see more of this if you ever decide to do any^^

I'm always worried I have too much space between dialogue, so it makes me really happy to hear you say that. I think the beats between sentences are really important to convey mood and emotion :')
I watched a lot of videos on Cockney to get the right feeling, happy to know it reads naturally!

NAY IS SUCH A BIG BABY I LOVE THE WAY YOU DRAW HER GIANT GLASSES ON HER CUTIEPIE FACE and I love this first meeting so much. Argh like it just feels so genuine to their ages and I love seeing them taLk to EaCH OTHER. I freak out a little anytime these comics are done of them because I'm like SCREAMS INTERACTION YES PLS. But yes I think you did a really good job I'm super proud of you for busting this out so hard and it's SO GOOD.

They're soo different from what I imagined and I love it, Ell is just soo BAD ASS ugh god, I can't get enough. And Naelia is frickin' adorbs!! I love her pouty cheeks, did I mention I love her cheeks?
And the pattern of their speech adds a special feel to their character. I'm so happy you posted this

THEY TOTALLY CHANGED! And that's hard to grasp for characters especially for artists. Sometimes I forget that you're not the same person when you were a kid xD
So this has become a constant reminder that they weren't always bad ass and sexy and powerful and mature xP
