Awesome! Something blue preferably although I don't know what... I like sapphire but that can be really expensive

Can you cast it in stainless steel or titanium? and how much would that cost?

Sorry, I don't work in any metals other then silver or gold. Silver version of the ring is $200 and I could take two payments.

Very cool and very detailed with the feathers. did you use the lost wax method? I'm just learning that method in my metals and silversmithing class to make my own ring. i'll post it when i finish making it if your interested.

Yep, all my work is lost wax method. Send a link when you post!

Cool. Yeah I'll definitely post a link but it could be a bit cause it won't get cast till next week and then I gotta make the finishing touches and then the teacher will take probably a week to grade it. So it could be 2 and a half weeks at least before I can get it but I'll get it up eventually.

This is an amazing piece, probably close to one of my favorites that you have done. I like how simple the owl is yet the details on the winds is impeccable. The wings accent the owls simple face beautifully. Very nice

Thanks. I'm glad you like the contrast of simple and detailed, was thinking about feathering the whole thing but went for a smoothy.

Fantastic! I love the mixture of feather texture with the smoothness of the rest. Something about the shape of it reminds me of an inuit carving I once saw where it was an owl carved out of a whale vertebre (kind of like this [link] )
