Description My daughter Courtney and her wonderful roommates gave me some paper that they had made themselves for Xmas. Each 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet is different. So much fun! I decided to take a break from painting and try out one of the handmade papers with a little charcoal drawing.
This is "Talkin Turkey" a little 8 1/2 x 11 charcoal of some wild turkeys on handmade paper

the texture of the paper makes a perfect compliment for the charcoal and the turkey are a spot on subject Marvelous!! I could so easily see this on my wall (we have wild turkey visitors often at my home - such prehistoric looking birds!)

Do you know what all materials were that make up the paper?  Looks wonderful.

I don't.  I know this particular piece had some lemon grass in it, but other than that I don't know

Thanks!  It actually worked out really well because there is a bunch of flecks of lemon grass in the paper.  It just sort of worked itself perfectly into the background of the turkeys in the grass
