Physical Description:

Hiro is slim, tall and very agile. His mane isn't necessarily thick, but it is rather spiky. This lion's eyes are unrealistically light, while his pelt color is a light gray, though his mane is also dark. Is he a white lion, or just a lion with white fur?

Hiro FEELS, man. Though usually on the irritated and angry end of the spectrum... well, anyway, if Hiro has passion about something, you can be guaranteed that nothing in this world will stop him from achieving his goal. Like scalping Torex. He is also rather passionate about his feats and prowess in battle. His title is everything to him.

Uninterested // "Let them do whatever they wish; I'm not here to babysit."

Hiro cares very little of the affairs of other cats. If it doesn't impact him, why does it matter? In order to survive, you have to focus on yourself. He's also easily bored.

Grudging // "The next time I see your face, Torex, you'll wish you hadn't seen mine!"

Going along with passionate, Hiro does not take an offense lightly. He'll carry his anger forever, or at least, that is what it appears in most cases.

Serious // "Was... was that a joke?"

Not only does humor elude him, but Hiro finds silliness irritating. Seriouz cat is seriouz.

Pretentious // "Please, you think you can approach me with your small talk? I have more important things to do. Like lick my ass."

Hiro is constantly attempting to impress by behaving with greater importance and talent than he actually has. Don't get me wrong, he is a wonderful fighter and extremely intelligent. But other cats might argue that fact.

Quiet // "Why would I engage in small talk?"

Although he speaks eloquently, Hiro hates talking, which is why he prefers to nod or, even better: Ignore you.

Apathetic // "You expect me to care?"

It is very difficult for you to get this lion to care about you or your feelings. He feels little to no personal connection to other cats do to his high self-esteem and solitary lifestyle. He's a sociopath.

History

Past History:

Originally from Japan, Hiro was traded over seas by caravan to China, where he then was praised for his light coat as a deity in one of the south asian countries (potentially India, but Hiro wouldn't be able to tell you). He was served sacrifices to sparr with, and began to view himself as the ultimate fighter. But simply wasting his days away passion-lessly and with no greater goal or objective was not the way Hiro wanted to live. At two years old, he set off east, attempting to find a bloody occupation that suited him. He was eventually capture and traded by the humans and taken to Greece. There, he proved his fighting prowess and ability.

Similarly to in Rome, in Athens there were bloodsports. Hiro fought many beasts: bears, dogs, and of course other big cats. But he was always the victor, knowing that if he allowed emotion to interfere with with goal that he'd succumb to his enemy and essentially loose a battle, which in turn would cause him to loose his life, and more importantly, his feats of battle. He was lavished with attention and was treated almost religiously, earning the title 'The Lion of Aries' for his vicious and amazing fighting style. When Hiro was around 5 years old (about 1/4th through his life), the owners of the Amphitheatre began looking for females to mate with the 'Lion of Aries'. He was mated with many females, but none that he would ever see again, save for one: his first mate, Cyani.

Some say the banker that owned Cyani had also purchased Hiro, which is what occurred but Hiro remained living at the Amphitheatre, earning his 'master' bountiful amounts of gold. Cyani would spend many hours with Hiro as he wandered cage-less in the theatre, and for some reason he actually found that he enjoyed her company. Perhaps she fed his ego; no cat would ever know. It wasn't long before Cyani birthed two cubs, a lioness and a little male. Although Hiro rarely saw his children, he felt great pride in the fact that they were to carry on his fighting legacy. He had little interest in them otherwise. For Hiro, liking someone took some work.

As Seidon and Aoife grew, Hiro won many more battles. A roman soldier representing the Emperor of Massilia's guard came to see the renown lion fighter. After some discussion with the banker, it was arranged that Hiro was to be purchased, along with his mate and offspring, and to be taken to the land of 'Rome'. Bigger city, stronger cats; it sounded to Hiro he was finally being recognized for his skill. There was only one thing... Seidon was to be left behind. It was for the better, or at least that's what the Lion of Aries thought. The little wimp had become a messenger. It was an enormous disappointment to Hiro. Let the whelp stay in Athens. He had nothing in Rome anyway.

Hiro was taken to the Coliseum and fought like a demon. Spectators often whispered about how he was the ghost of a fighting spirit incarnate and some used his old name from Greece, except 'Aries' had been switched to 'Mars'. Cyani was used as a racing cat because of her great speed and Aoife was enrolled as an army cat, owned by the very soldier who had come to scope him out in Greece. Hiro was satisfied with his mate and daughters' futures.

After proving himself over and over again as a competent fighter, the Emperor himself came to watch The Lion of Mars do battle. Impressed, he demanded that Hiro be made a Bounty Hunter. The lion was moved from the pits to a temple, and his ego soared. Yes, he liked this Roman city a lot. He had something to achieve here, glory to earn. As a hunter it became easier for him to do as he pleased. He could often be seen visiting Cyani's races, though he never spoke to her.

He was determined to become the strongest cat the Mediterranean had ever seen.

New/RP History:

After a rousing bit of capture the flag, Hiro wandered the city, annoyed and disgusted, when he was confronted with none other than Torex. The pair had a 'drink off' and Hiro suprisingly cannot hold his wine. He passed out drunk, and Torex has shaved his mane and made a cape out of it. The picture above is his mane pre-shave. Hiro remembers none of it after he blacks out, but the way Torex shows the cape off and tells the story, Hiro could never truly forget. He despises the panther now.

Recently, Hiro was mated with a beautiful Tiger/Snow leopard hybrid named Nia in the hopes that their cubs would make both great and beautiful fighters and hunters for the Emperor. Hiro had no qualms with this, having bred many times before meaninglessly after Cyani. After Nia found that she was pregnant, however, she came to Hiro in tears, tired and beat down from her sad breeder life. She begged him to help her get free, trying to persuade Hiro using their unborn cubs as leverage. Hiro was unfazed, however, heart steely and goal-driven as always and planned on just leaving Nia to herself. Freeing her would only demote him. But he was struck with a wondrous idea. Hiro promised to not only free Nia, but to protect her and their cubs from the other hunters on one condition: once freed, she would meet Hiro monthly at the edge of the empire territories, brining him information and helping him to capture Empire cats. If she refused once out of the city, Hiro threatened her saying that he would drag both her and the cubs back to the humans. She agreed frantically, and The Lion of Mars helped the she-cat escape. He has yet to hear from her, as she has yet to join an empire yet. She would be his ticket to glory and to being the most successful bounty hunter yet. But no one could know.
