I haven't done an industrial concept design in a while. The brief for this piece stated that it must be a futuristic knife-shaped weapon, but didn't specify that it had to actually be a knife.

Named for its superficial resemblance to an ancient bladed weapon, Excalibur carves right through planets, asteroids, moons, and even small stars.

Using revolutionary and highly covert technology, Excalibur creates a sort of quantum "shield" around itself; in layman's terms, it warps physical space to create a sheath that is protected from physical objects. Projecting this space forward it can slice through any physical mass in its path, protecting itself and any other vessels within this field. The only physical obstacle to this ship occurs in super dense objects where the laws of space and time are affected; thus it must avoid such obstacles just like any other vessel.

Not only useful as a weapon, it also allows interstellar travel without the need to navigate around obstacles. Manufactured with a 24 karat gold skin to flaunt the exorbitant wealth of the civilization which designed it, Excalibur is the undisputed superpower of the entire charted galaxy.
