A portrait of the 4th Doctor for the DW project:[link]

It took a while to finish it, because:
1) I made a sketch
2) I choosed the colors carefully ("Which one is a good color for the shadow? And which colors are good for the scarf/the waistcoat?" etc.)
3) It took a few hours until the colors dried...the paint application is thick....
4) The background..."Which background? What shall I paint? Which colors?" Then I thought "He's a traveller through time and space...ah! The dark blue colors are the 'stream of time'...and the black squares are 'windows to space' (sounds a bit odd, I know...)
5) The shape, no, better - the size! - of the pic...I painted it on large -sized paper and I had to minimize it (thank goodness there are copy-shops ^^).

I can see you chose your colors wisely, and it's very reminiscent of the Doctor Who fan magazines that I've seen. Very surreal and well use of negative space for your subject.
It's a little rigid around the edges, but that's the only thing that seems off, besides the pupils. Good work overall.
