I would somehow bribe my landlord to allow me to morgage the fourplex I am living in, in order for this movie to be made...

I like this, I'm curious who Christopher Lee would play? I love him as an actor, but never considered him to be in a role of Deus Ex.

Once someone mentions it, someone reinstalls it. But how does one reinstall something that's never been uninstalled  I'm gonna play it now

I never thought of that possibility, but you're totally right: Clive Owen would be an awesome Paul Denton! For JC, that's difficult. I personally would like some totally new, unknown actor for his part.

This brings back some sweet memories when I played the game last time and, of course, the first time too. Man, that is some good game with interesting character development skills and a thight plot. These conspiracy stories are one of the most interesting genres out there in my opinion.
I am not sure if many videogames were to be made into movies since so many good, no, great games have already been wasted with the movie industry. And yeah, especially if we are talking about Hollywood productions where they usually like to take an idea out of a game and many times pretty much out of the original context and shape it into something that should resemble the original game AND storyline but turns out to be something absolutely different and out-of-shape/order/canon. One has to take a look at two or three clear examples of videogame movies that totally ruin the original concept: Resident Evil, Alien vs. Predator and Doom. And since we all know that Hollywood also has the urge to underline every plottwist and so on, Deus Ex would turn probably pretty lame. And there is no quarantee that people who write good scripts and develop plots for videogames, are good scriptwriters for feature-lenght movies. I mean, Warren Spector and the pals may not be able to come up with a decend plot for a movie format. Games and movies are still quite the different media. But like always, I vote for a movie from a game that follows the game's plot closely and doesn't add anything that isn't in the game series. Sorry for the speech.
Good picture, I like the vector style.

As always, it's hard to let go of something one loves. Personaly, I actualy never want to see Deus Ex as a movie. Eidos is doing a good enough job by itself to butcher it (I'm afraid of Deus Ex 3), so I dread the very thought of having Hollywood get their hands on it. Problem being, the directors I'd like to see on it, like Ridley Scott, just wouldn't jump on a videogame project, given how they've received absolutely no respect in the past. Thanks to the movies listed, and, of course, Boll.
In a fantasy world were fans decide, then maybe I'd let Deus Ex become a movie. But, here, where money talks, no thank you!

Oh, I almost forgot about mr. Boll! He is indeed one odd man. Somehow he always has money to make more and more of those half-assed lame movies and kill the original concept along the way. Don't know if you have read the little part of the Wikipedia article about Metal Gear Solid movie and Uwe Boll. If you haven't, here it is (it is hilarious in a way...):
When rumors surfaced that Boll had expressed interest in a Metal Gear Solid movie, and claimed to have been given a script to read, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima responded in his audioblog HIDECHAN, "Absolutely not! I don't know why Uwe Boll is even talking about this kind of thing. We've never talked to him. It's impossible that we'd ever do a movie with him."
Kojima seems absolutely terrified about the rumors surrounding the would-be-movie. Fortunately, those are only rumors.

Huzzah for that game, and a film adaption would either be painfully awesome...or just painfully fail.

Like SSGhost said, Lady Liberty in Deus Ex (The original, not Invisible War where it get a wee bit wonky) is missing its torch as well. If I recall correctly it's in the lobby at the base of the Statue or something.

Aye, it's near the base, I think the main entrance with the drone. Don't know why I decided to add it into the picture. I think (just tested on the .ai file) that's it was due to the lack of colour in the piece otherwise. Who knows, my mind changes!

Wasnt the Statue more mauled than that? Like... missing an arm or something? Oh well, I like the art anyway. I think Willam Defoe would be good for that one fool with the red hair and eyes

Well, last thing I heard about the Metroid movie was in 2004 when John Woo got the rights to it. Nothing else happened. So maybe it was canned, or they're just waiting on a script, or it's on the backburner. I think John Woo would be able to do it justice, action-wise. Samus would take ALOT of good choreography.
And thanks for the other comment! Yeah, deffinatly one of the best games out there. Not done with RE4 on the Wii, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Damn zombie dogs...

I like the poster, except two minor things: the way JC's tie forms a building, unless that is meant to be symbolic in that case just the way it bulges above the collar a little, and the heliocopter looks a little silly imo. But really nice job!

Thanks for the fav, and comment.
I didn't know the movie had been canceled! I guess I haven't really stayed up-to-date on Warren Specter's ramblings since he dissapeared from the face of the earth in 2003. I remember him mentioning that they would expand the whole franchise into books - but I guess Invisible War really scared everyone off. Shame though, because it was still a decent game, just not up to par.

The real movie got cancelled. Probably for the best, it would've gotten butchered by Hollywood. All the interlligence would've been dragged out of the dialog and plot and crushed
