Overall
Vision
Originality
Technique
Impact
I've been pondering this picture for a few days now, gathering my thoughts and what not, and I think I'm ready to write my Critique.
This picture has had an incredible impact to me, from the first time I saw the thumbnail it caught my imagination, something about the way the fracturing of the face got into my head and makes me stare.
Composition is spot on, framing the head in front of, what I'm assuming is sky or a bank of cloud, really draws my me to the face and in turn to the effect.
The focus is razor sharp on the face, really adds to the fractured nature of the effect. and the soft focus roll off again adds to the impact.
The grade is subtle. A softening of the tones adds a dream like feel to the image and doesn't call to much attention to itself. I personally like the slight push to green in the whites, while retaining a natural skin tone.
Overall I love the picture, my only gripe is with the Title.
Insomnia is not what I feel from this picture. Broken for fracture is close to what the image makes me lean towards. Whether its the power of the cut and shift effect domination my perception of the meaning, I'm still not sure, I do think its miss titled thou.
Besides that, I really do love this picture and hope to see more of your work. Keep it up
As always these are my personal opinions.

Hello! Thank you so much for your lovely critique!
I guess I can shed some light on the matter of the title. Maybe it will make you feel otherwise about it. When I took this photograph it was during my stay at the North Cape Hall, working & living there for a month. In the northern parts of Norway there is daylight 24/7 during the summer. Coming from Oslo which is part of the south, I had trouble adapting to the light and therefore screwing up my day-rhythm, therefore leading to a close state of insomnia. Well, that is my reason for the title at least. I guess I should have taken the time to put that in the description but I guess I forgot ^^'

While I do like the concept, I think I'd prefer the unaltered image. Nevertheless, it's still a beautiful piece.

That's a really cool effect.
It really captures how the edges of your consciousness start to feel like they're coming apart.
