Description ``NEO TRIBAL

getting dark and dirty for dc xvii...

one of the first images in which i have utilized stock ..

i disremember what influenced this particular piece... its part of the babylon series though...

there is a lot more to this image than a casual glimpse will afford you. spend 3 minutes looking at it with the lights off, you'll see the difference an artist spending 15+ hours on a piece makes as opposed to a 5 min bryce render... it amazes me what people do and dont appreciate these days...

struth. this is some of the vastest most intricate work I've seen anywhere. not unlike gnarled and twisted wreckage wreathed in seaweed and colonized by bioluminescent jellyfish. 'least thats what I think. -awesome creations.

Organic and vivid abstract at it's best. I can't even comprehend how long the details have taken, it's like a complex jungle with unique patterns and living things. In my eyes this is as good as technical abstract gets; fresh idea, unique look and stunningly detailed. Definitely my favorite from the new DC-pack.

My new background as well.

its appreciated.

Visually amazing.

I have no idea how I see this, but I am seeing an entire world in there. To my mind I percieve a giant robot standing miles above the cities, with his body dissolving visually into the cloud layer; holding the flower of earth, a portion of the Amazon blossoming with color and natural beauty. This robot is so large this section of forest is as a bonsai tree, and the insignifant humans below, who formerly saw themselves as all powerful and knowing have not put down their weapons, and have not closed the missile silos. In my mind, this narrative is at this point moments before the Homo Sapien assauly on the beast, which includes many weapons of nuclear proportions which destroy the invader, though he has done nothing to harm them, at least not intentionally. He dows not fight back, but instead collapses and perishes, along with the humans who have destroyed themselves out of fear and ignorance. As this intelligence falls, however, his hands part and the proliferation of foliage crumbles without support and is destroyed along with everything else.

My god do I need sleep.

Nice brotha, or should I say not nice, or how about nice and dark. Piece is tight, due to the black it feels like a void but the bulge give you the sense of something present, but the black connotates void, emptiness, the unknown. I guess you could say that it seems as if nothingness is coming for you. Dig.

'disremember'? now your just creating words surely

Awesome piece though; the texturing is definatly an interesting avenue to explore. I like the subtleties of this piece rather than the overt and dominant 3d structures

Dark and dirty. I cant distinguish any of the stocks in here so nice work. i love it how in these babylon images the forms appear without any suggestion of where they came from. nice job.

I must agree... very awesome! It seems like a different twist to your artwork... I seem to remember most of you work using alot more bright, flashy colors... I really like the variety and "the dark, mysterious feel" you have going with this piece! Definitely adding it to my ekud collection! Keep em coming!!!!
