A commission for ~Genny-Raskin .She asked for something about chemistry and test tubes. Well the first thing that came to my head was the highschool experiment my friends found in the internet. I'll let the video explain for itself: [link]
Our chemistry teacher let them do the experiment, but with only a few grams of potassium chlorate. Sure, there were lights and sounds, but not enough! So they smuggled a can of that powder from the lab and some test tubes. At home we put about twice as much at what shown in the video... My friend's eyebrows burned. Since all this was his idea, for his birthday, we bought him a kilo of gummy bears.

Well, i have good news and bad news.
The party would be mostly over by this time: Shir'el needs to leave at 20:30 to make it on the last train home {her parents forbade her to stay the night}, Stas & Ayala will also leave before it's really late {Stas works on the next day}, and Pantera will also be leaving around that time {she starts her semester on the next day}. This part sucks.
However, it's still much better than not coming at all {like some people}, and i'll be happy to have you over. We'll still have the company of anyone who isn't as limited in transportation, and of those who are staying over. :=}

Speaking of colourul flames, I bet that not many have seen: Green, Red or light blue ones! (I did, on last weeks lab.)

When our class went to a trip to Tel-Aviv university a professor made us a rainbow of fire (firebow?). Now I know that the color of each flame comes from the amount of energy it releases (or something like that

Well, it is partly correct, each compound, while being burn, emits different and constant amount of energy (that correspond to the amount of the compound, if I am not mistaken, we did not learn it yet), as while the burning process is in "action" there is the same reaction that happens to the compound (if there are the same environmental conditions). So each time you'll burn some material it will have the same colour of the flame while burning.
BTW, i was wandering, what happened after this experiment of yours, with your friends?
