Description From my escaped comic strip, Snap Crackle Pop!

I'm now going on a little break from Snap Crackle Pop. It's not forever, mind you (unless no one notices I'm gone...) but I need a few months off to get my other projects in order and finish up my commissions. I have to try to work on some things that I might actually get published one day, long shot though that is, and I'll never be able to do it if I'm constantly worried about getting a comic in on time. Hopefully I'll be able to get organized soon and then I can return to your regularly scheduled programming, but until then, I'm on the lamb from Finn and Bacon.

But no worries! I can't leave this thing forever. Not even if I wanted to.

Funny that. I just abandoned a project that I was trying to get published to resume a webcomic.

That's sad, the idea of abandoning a publishable project. There should be room for both things! I'm just trying to get balanced, and then I'll be back. No worries! I couldn't stop drawing this trainwreck if I wanted to!

Well, I've written about four novels that ... never went anywhere, and I've done a few illustrated children's books that ... never went anywhere, and the idea of slaving over a project that most likely would never be seen by anyone sort of seemed Sisyphean to me. I recalled the good old days of working on my comic and having a real readership, so I thought I'd go back in that direction for a bit.

I feel you. I'm preparing myself for a lot of rejection on my bigger projects as well, but if you believe in your material, I know you won't stop trying to get it out there. The comic is always great to have, and if I could do it for a living, best believe I would.
