Description
Watercolor and ink, 11 x 14 on bristol. One of these days, I'll actually use that wonderful Arches 140 paper that I got specifically for watercolor - but somehow, all of the stuff I like and get inspired to paint seems to be on bristol. Curl city! Fortunately, that monster heat press in the corner is useful for flattening paper, too. (When off, not heated, of course!)

I drew this sometime ago for a character description. The client didn't pick my piece, so I inked it the way I wanted to, lost the piece for a while, and finally painted it for the March issue of EMG-Zine , which is an e-zine for fantasy and sci fi writers and project number 16 on my monthly list of things to do.
