Description An idea I came up with long time ago.

Of course, if England releases a detective book, France will surely writes one about a gentleman thief.

This is absolutely brilliant!

It really looks like a good piece of traditional art instead of a digital one. The textures and colours used give a good vintage-like look and it really suits your picture.

theres a Arsene Lupin movie coming out? I'll have to check that out. THAT WOULD BE SOOOO AWSOME!! if those two met (it would be such a good crossover)

you (as always) did a really great job on this ^^*

Ellinor87 In reply to mcaputo123187 [2011-08-18 10:51:43 +0000 UTC]

It's actually released in 2004, but since it made in Europe, it might not had such big announce like movies from the U.S. It's kinda mindfuck, since it's a typical french film, (multithreaded storyline, femme fatale, evil sects etc.) but actually, I really dig such mindfuck franchise movies, so in short, I found it great. XD
And yepp, the writer of Lupin, Monsieur Le Blanc written a book about A Lupin-Holmes crossover, (but it runs with the name Arsene Lupin vs. Herlcok Sholmes, because of copyright stuff.)

Jó ötlet a rajz!

Ellinor87 In reply to Biborka [2011-08-14 15:04:30 +0000 UTC]

Biborka In reply to Ellinor87 [2011-08-16 09:14:01 +0000 UTC]

Ellinor87 In reply to Biborka [2011-11-19 23:23:16 +0000 UTC]

Biborka In reply to Ellinor87 [2011-11-21 20:53:07 +0000 UTC]

Bár ott se a happy end számít, hanem a történet. Az út, amelyen a végkifejletig jutott a dolog. Filmet sem feltétlen csak a végéért nézünk.
Én is sok mangát olvastam, de azokról is leszoktam, teljesen...

The gentleman thief? Is he a "gentleman" who "thieves", or is he a "thief" that steals "gentlemen"? Either one describes France sooo... which is it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ellinor87 In reply to Onlynameleft2pick [2011-08-14 09:05:15 +0000 UTC]

Gentleman thief was the mark of Arsene Lupin the book character of Maurice Le Blanc. He's not the only one, though. It was a popular character attribute especially in literature:

Ahm, of course, there's marvelous fanarts around, but everytime I see Holmes and Watson being gay, I kinda want to stab out my eyes, spit out my belly and burn down my computer. In any order.
Not that I'm that big nerd of Holmes, but I still like it. I enjoy detective novels, Holmes was one of my favourites. And don't get me wrong, everyone's own choice, what they draw, really. But after, when you're typing Holmes in deviantART's keyword panel, and you can find 80% of Sherlcok artworks focusing only about sexuality, you're gone get tired of it, trust me. :U
Unless if you're like boys love and yaoi. In that case, you're a happy person.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silvera88 In reply to Ellinor87 [2011-08-14 09:46:39 +0000 UTC]

I didn't know that this fandom is yaoi-centred... Well, I like BL, but I'm not a person who wants to pair everybody with everyone. Especially when one of them has a wife O.o So... I understand you ;u;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ellinor87 In reply to Silvera88 [2011-08-16 22:55:17 +0000 UTC]

Wich fandom isn't yaoi centered? I'd like to know...*sarcasm*
As I said before, Im not a homophobe, but fangirls fantasies about gay people are so...unreal and actually, I think it's really degrading for homosexual people themselves.
Also, boys love and yaoi is two different category as far as I know. Boys love's focusing about the relationship, yaoi focusing about sex :U

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silvera88 In reply to Ellinor87 [2011-08-17 07:17:19 +0000 UTC]

BL is general (can be both - sex and/or relationship) - and I prefer to say that :3 I simply don't like cathegorizing (because shounen-ai manga and yaoi manga can be with good or shitty plot, sex is not the main thing for me). As for fanarts, well... I would like to say some advice about not seeing the explicit ones, but... I would like to know this advice too >.>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ellinor87 In reply to Silvera88 [2012-01-10 00:00:02 +0000 UTC]

Actually, you right, categorhizing is kinda complicated, (I rather just using it for the better definition but not the whole explanation) I mean, look at deviantart. :U (I never could chose the proper category for my art, why is that) Not saying, it is useless, but I think, the tag system would make much more sense, but that just me.
Pff, Im not even sure, there's any good way, to avoid pron...I guess, we just have to live with it.
