I've been having a lot more fun with vector art lately. Specifically drawing my own images instead of using stock. Drawing this style goes pretty quick since it is abstract and you don't have to be exact. It's not normal for me and I'm surprised that I like it so much.

This is the front side of a flyer design for a Christian youth group. The idea behind "Merge" is that the young people are going to merge their lives together, and merge their faith with their actions by going out into the community to have fun and to share their faith in Jesus Christ. The goal is to connect with God and each other by planning special events like hiking, BBQ, pool parties and other outings where they can have fun getting to know each other and have opportunities to serve each other and other people. It's not rocket science...but it is something that seems to be lacking in some churches. The Christian faith is more than just going to church for an hour on Sunday. It is a lifestyle and it should touch others lives.

I drew everything myself in Illustrator. Except for the texture which a friend gave me. And the font is from www.losttype.com Hope you enjoy.
