A vent piece. Everyone I know tells me I'm the happiest person they know, or "the happy one." I don't mind being called that, but when I have depressive episodes everyone loses their minds over them. I have major depression. It inhibits my day to day functioning. Lots of people go through this. It depresses me more when people look at me and go "aw come on, but you're the HAPPY one!" Like I'm not allowed to have the mental disorder I have. It's not my choice. But for the sake of others, I put on my happy mask when I'm around them. Like I said, many people go through this and I get ya little buddy. I'm not spiraling out of control all the time, just most of the time. I'm a secret Debbie-downer. Ha, ha.
