DESIGN BY kyrisuz !!!!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BABIE...... its so surreal finally being able to draw dee?? ive been imagining her for like.. half a year now and dee Finally having an actual physical design is so COOOOLL??? I CAN ACTUALLY DO STUFF WITH HER NOW AW YEAH ALL MY DREAMS ARE COMING TRUE
ANYWAYS Dee is an introverted robotics scientist/engineer and has a Really hard time socializing, so she just gave up on other people & is grumpy at everyone.
This character exists in the OC World universe, to understand their story it's recommended that you check out this universe summary first before reading about them!
OC WORLDThe OC (Original Character) world is a universe where OCs that aren't living in any specific universe that their creator made, exist.
They appear in the OC world when the person who created them (in our world) first imagines their existence/design/personality. Where they appear depends on where the owner thinks their OC would live, be it a city or a forest, they appear in the most similar concept to the owners original vision.
The world is full of all different types of OCs (animals, monsters, humans, scribbles, literally anything that could be considered a character) from all over the real world and they're made by many different kinds of people, ranging from toddlers to professional artists. The stronger the connection between an OC and its owner, the more the OC vaguely knows about them and the truth behind their own existence.
When an OC is forgotten about in the real world, their colors fade and they essentially die in the OC world. And when an OC is killed in the OC world, their
Dee was a citizen in the city part of the OC world, and she was really interested in robotics (as was her creator), so she joined the school. Dee excelled in all her classes! She was very smart, but very awkward around other people. She felt most at home around robots.
The government in the city area is an unknown committee that oversees everything that goes on in the city, and makes decisions anonymously. The government is very secretive about its members, and the public isn't allowed to know who's in the government team. The government is responsible for the protection of citizens and making sure things don't go awry.
The members of the government are confidential because they may make controversial decisions as a whole, and they don't want the common people attacking specific members over it.
The police/protection system consists of a team of very strong robots programmed to protect registered citizens. All citizens are given a small portable alarm button to carry with them that they can press when they're in danger. The button dispatches a robot to their location to go protect them. There's dispatch areas all over the city, so it doesn't take very long for a robot to get to its target.
this is what they look like:
Back to Dee, because she was so knowledgeable about robotics and programming, the government committee decided to ask her if she would be willing to work for them. They wanted her to help them improve their police force robots.
In order for her to join them, she'd have to leave everything behind, cut ties with anyone she knew, and she would live in a designated government protected building. She wouldn't be allowed to go out much (for her safety & for confidentiality reasons), but she'd get to live in a really nice place and have all the tools she needed at her disposal, courtesy of the government.
Because she's antisocial anyways, she accepted their offer, and got to work.
Things went well for a while, she learned more about programming and the process of mass production, and she was able to improve the police force robots tremendously!
But over time, she got more and more lonely as she started running out of things to make/improve on.
One day, she decided she would create herself her own personal robot assistant/friend that she could talk to. She used a prototype of one of the police robots as the base for it so she had something to work off of.
It took her a while, but the experiment turned out successful, and her and the robot kept each other company!
She named it Mvin, and made him a different color from the police robots so other people would know that he's not an on-duty robot.
They became good friends, and Mvin was a great help- but over time, Mvin became more and more curious about the outside world.
Mvin asked if they could go outside for a bit, so Dee started taking him on small outings. She took him to the grocery store, to the park, to gamestop, etc etc.
Mvin ended up making a few friends along the way.
He started asking more often if he could leave to go see his new friends, but Dee felt possessive and jealous over him. She made him specifically so that she could talk to someone, and now he wanted to leave? how sad...
Dee let him go anyways, since he seemed more happy with his friends, and she kept her inner turmoil to herself.
A few days later, she got a warning letter from the government stating that she shouldn't be letting the robot run about and talk to people outside of the committee, because it could know confidential information. If she refused to comply, the government would fire her.
Dee got nervous about the news, as it would be hard to tell her robot friend, but she wanted to spend more time with him anyways, so it was sorta good news? For her at least.
She ended up telling Mvin what happened and the consequences that could occur, but she also added in the fact that the robot could be too unstable for social interaction anyways, because he was just a modified version of a police model (a robot with feelings and guns is a bad combo). It could be dangerous.
Dee meant this with the intent to comfort him, that it was for the best anyways that he stopped going outside, but Mvin did not take it well. He thought that he Could control itself, and that Dee was just being unreasonable, so he became silently defiant and angry towards her.
Mvin tried sneaking out at night for a few nights, but Dee eventually found out about it, and one of the nights she used a tracking device to find him.
She found him talking to a few of his friends, and sorta trash talking Dee in the process. This infuriated Dee, which made her want to teach him a lesson.
The next day, she modified his code a bit, telling him that it was an upgrade, but in reality, she added the defensive code that the other police bots had, and she tethered the specific code to a remote button on her laptop.
That night, she found Mvin once more, defying her orders and talking to his friends again.
She stayed out of sight, and activated the code for a few moments.
She didn't see it happen, but Mvin lost control and gunned down a few of his friends. They were badly injured, and the ones who survived ran away as fast as they could.
Her plan worked, Mvin's friends didn't trust him anymore... and he did "malfunction", just as she said would happen.
While Mvin stood there and processed what just happened, Dee ran out of her hiding place (pretending that she had just found him) to go make her point, and bring him home.
Mvin, devastated at what he'd done, blamed her for it. He pointed his guns at her and started yelling, but Dee lied and talked her way out of it, ending up with Mvin falling to the floor in grief. Seeing the sad robot, she felt sympathetic and went to go comfort it, but just as she touched it on the shoulder, he shot her in the stomach.
Dee fell back in shock, and Mvin ran away, never to be seen again.
Dee was found by the government and she healed over time, but since then she's had a major distrust for robots with artificial intelligence.
