Only reason I own a facebook account is because sometimes society just requires you to have it.. "We only post the information that you certainly need in our facebook group"

Telegram is pretty much the same as WhatsApp. Just more secure and more flexible - it has a client for every platform (Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux) and even a browser client. And it gives you the ability to delete messenges, encode them, etc.
So yeah.. Go get it. Now.
