I'm glad to see someone else has actually read the poem I referenced.

It's one of my favourites, next to "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening".

Thanks!

oh yes that is another favorite. What can I say Frost has interesting poetry...though I still think Poe might be my favorite. Its hard to beat The Raven or Anibelle Lee

The thing about Frost that always interested me is that it seem so simplistic, but if you take the time to think about it, or read it over a second time, it can reach so much deeper.

Right exactly. It like two meanings, the more obvious one then the deeper one. But omg my old french teacher spoke like 7 languages she was a genius. She wrote this one poem, in english, that was two columns. You read one column, then the other and they were seperate from each other but then you could read the two columns straight across like rows and it worked that way too. Freaking amazing.

This is such a gorgeous piece. It reminds me somewhat of razor wire, but in a more inticing yet dangerous sort of way. I imagine I can lend such interest towards the colors used, which compliment it very well given their dark-yet-light tendancies. Overall, a gorgeous image. Something I would hang upon my wall, no doubt.

Thanks. This has always been one of my personal favourites, so it's good to hear someone can appreciate it without nothing more than a "That's Nice".

I can see why it's a path less trodden. Those bright, glowing 'threads' look like they'll slice you up pretty good, or electrocute you or something. I'm in pain just looking at it. Excellent work.

logixoul [2006-08-06 17:35:58 +0000 UTC]

It makes an interesting impression, as if the sparkles were a product of the friction of rubbing against the wall of the tunnel with extreme speed. Maybe you should add a little detail to the glow in the center, for example by darkening parts of it with irregular shapes.

Epion In reply to logixoul [2006-08-06 22:04:29 +0000 UTC]

Actually, I may try that. I had been planning to do another take on this piece in the future, and now that I look at it in that perspective the 'light at the end of the tunnel' does look a bit off. Perhaps a bit too yellow for my liking.

Thanks for the advice.

Amazing! It makes me want to jump in there and see where it goes.

Love the quote too.

The title definately fits this piece it has a wild organic feel to it and the lighting is like a destination. Why you only have 9 deviations when you are this good I don't know.

Epion In reply to windshadowmoth [2006-03-22 03:27:35 +0000 UTC]

I used to have more work up but I've been doing a bit of a purge lately. Anything I didn't feel was quite up to par with the others was nixed, though I still have them reserved [for those good old nostalgic moments] on my hard drive.

Ah, and I'm glad how you feel about it. It's always nice to be appreciated.

Nice image, although it's a little pixelated in some areas.
Still good though

This reminds me of a vortex of doom. Like that circle / sphere at the end of the tunnel is going to explode if you touch it.

*shrugs* I have a crazy imagination.

What programs did you use for this?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Epion In reply to Stoutkoekje [2006-03-12 16:43:48 +0000 UTC]

Apophysis to create the fractal images, and Photoshop (7) to put on the finishing touches.

New !

*Theres always light at the end of a tunel but to get there you have to go through a fierce malesorm*
It looks like a green murcy water of death, and the mtion is a tunel to heavn in a form of a malestorm.
Geting there is dangorus and scary, but most likely worth it =^_^=
It looks very crisp and bright

Ahh...Fractals. Still don't understand them that much, but they are pretty.

It kind of draws you in....The ones I seen so far are definately worthy of hanging on walls.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Epion In reply to Nazre [2006-01-21 04:24:00 +0000 UTC]

On walls? Think I'm print-worthy, eh? You'd not be the first, but I'm too much of a lazy git to shell out the money for the account.

Thanks, though, sincerely. I'm glad you think they're that good.

Really awesome.
